LYNE - Key Persons
Lynley was born in Georgia and grew up in middle Tennessee. She remembers pleading with her grandmother during summer visits to Atlanta to take her downtown so they could ride the elevator to the top of Portman's iconic Peachtree Plaza for Shirley Temple's at the hotel restaurant. She moved to Nashville over twenty-five years ago to pursue a degree in Interior Design and fortuitously met her BFF and future business partner, Shannon, at Watkins College of Art. Always described as a dreamer, Lynley found her purpose through a career in design.
Lynley ran an interiors department for a commercial architectural firm, before launching LYNE in 2013 and recruiting her BFF a few years later. Recognizing the opportunity to gain better creative control of their projects, they expanded their practice to include procurement, and they offer their specialized FF&A services to other design firms, restaurateurs, and hoteliers.
Lynley specializes in commercial interiors and FF&A and chooses to focus on hospitality and multi-family design. From conceptual design to detailed construction drawings, she finds inspiration from her world and stateside travels and her (still) favorite hobby, affectionately coined, The 5-Star Bar Crawl. She enjoys CrossFit with her husband, John, and they work and live together with their cockapoo, Lola, in East Nashville.
Shannon has design experience in corporate, multifamily, healthcare, athletic, hospitality, restaurant and retail facilities. In addition to her leadership role, she is involved in every aspect of the design process. She enjoys engaging in collective creative process required make a client's vision become a reality.
Teri Payne is the Director of Purchasing for LYNE since 2022. She is a fun-loving individual who has a passion for shopping and calculating numbers. This combination of interests has contributed to her being great at her job, as it has honed her ability to make informed purchasing decisions while staying within budget constraints.
Teri was born in Atlanta, GA, but her family moved frequently during her childhood, and she grew up "everywhere". Despite the constant changes, she managed to maintain a strong focus that serves her well.
Teri's career path has been marked by her attention to detail and strong management skills. She has held various positions in purchasing and inventory management throughout her career. Her ability to manage resources efficiently and effectively has been a consistent theme in her professional journey, leading her to her current position as Director of Purchasing for LYNE.
Teri's strong computer background has been instrumental in her success as a purchasing professional. She is proficient in various software applications and systems, enabling her to streamline processes and make data-driven decisions. Additionally, her expertise in client relations has allowed her to build strong partnerships with clients and vendors, ensuring the best possible prices and product quality for LYNE.
In her spare time, Teri enjoys painting and gardening. These hobbies allow her to express her creative side and connect with nature. Teri currently resides in Kentucky with her husband. They are proud parents of three grown children and one grandson.
