David Timmermann

  • Senior Civil Engineer
David is a Senior Civil Engineer leading QA/QC and mentoring activities for Provenance. He brings over 36 years of municipal infrastructure planning, design, construction, and alternative delivery experience to our growing team, and he has been involved in some of the largest water infrastructure projects in Texas. We are excited to have David bring his expansive knowledge of project delivery to enhance the execution and quality of our deliverables for our clients. David's servant leadership will also be a valuable asset to our staff as he mentors them in their career development. He is a member of the American Water Works Association and Design-Build Institute of America. David is married and has three children and nine grandchildren.

FELICIA SANFORD

  • Civil and Environmental Engineer
Felicia is a civil and environmental engineer with 14+ years of experience in wastewater process analysis, water, and wastewater treatment plant modeling, water and wastewater process design, and construction services. Felicia has led teams and worked on numerous projects ranging from engineering studies through final design, including the ACEC award-winning Wilson Creek RWWTP Advanced Treatment and Expansion Project. She is also a leader in the industry, authoring technical papers and presenting at state and national conferences, including the National UCTA Conference scheduled for January 2022. Felicia and Kent presented with Josh Kristinek, PE (City of Lubbock), on the City's innovative HDD approaches. At home, Felicia enjoys her role as mom to four kids with her husband Ben and going on adventures as a family.

Provenance's Founder Kent Riker has a genuine devotion to serving others in his life, and his approach as an engineer and business owner is no different. He provides the right water engineering solutions for stability and longevity to benefit clients and communities. In working with Kent, you'll find that he thinks outside the box … and acts differently too. His vision when founding Provenance was to operate uniquely different with a core business focus on client service and stewardship rather than operating with an internal, financial mindset. Early in his career, Kent had the right ideas. He focused on implementing the new tools and concepts for his clients, whether they were already being used in engineering or still new to the game. Over time, he's implemented first-of-their-kind approaches for Lubbock's SEWRP, the first nutrient removal system in Texas, and engineered solutions that were advancements in the industry. Today, Kent is a visionary with a water-focused engineering career that spans long-range planning to the detailed design of all phases of municipal water and wastewater systems. With technical expertise in water/wastewater treatment and conveyance systems, Kent excels at working with clients to solve challenging problems. Through his work in a city water utility engineering department and an international pump manufacturer, as well as his roles as president of a non-profit organization, and now as an engineering consultant, Kent addresses complex issues and provides value through his broad and unique perspective. Kent Riker, the founder of Provenance Engineering, has a vision to do things uniquely different.

Thomas Moody

Job Titles:
  • Environmental and Civil Design Manager
Thomas is an environmental and civil design manager who has worked across Texas and Oklahoma. He provides services for water/wastewater treatment, distribution, and collection infrastructure; hydrologic and hydraulic modeling; 3D modeling; and asset mapping. Thomas is exceptionally skilled in Building Information Modeling, LIDAR scanning, 3D asset management software, and design automation. He presents emerging technologies at Texas Water, WEAT, and ASCE Dallas. He was selected for AutoDesk's new Beta Program for Digital Twin software that allows infrastructure owners to utilize 3D models created during the design phase of their projects. Now, Thomas shares this information with clients across Texas. Thomas loves spending quality time with his wife, Kourtney, and their two young sons. He enjoys learning musical instruments, reading, and leading a small group bible study.
