Jacqueline Ramirez joined the firm in 2017 and handles Workers' Compensation matters, Superior Court matters - both criminal and family, and municipal matters. Prior to joining the firm, she worked at a small, private firm in Bergen County for 10 years where she handled various matters including criminal, civil, workers' compensation, civil rights, and family matters. She has been named a "Rising Star" by Super Lawyers in 2018 and 2020. Jacqueline is admitted to practice law in New Jersey, New York, and the United States District Court for the District of New Jersey. Jacqueline is a member of the Bergen County Bar Association, the Women Lawyers in Bergen County, the New Jersey State Bar Association, and the New York Bar Association. Joseph Fava works extensively in the fields of Personal Injury and Workers' Compensation law. Throughout his stellar career, Mr. Fava has forged relationships which have helped him achieve great success. He is widely known and well respected by both Judges and his adversaries in the courtroom. Mr. Fava has vast experience with all types of injury claims whether it is a result of a construction accident, motor vehicle accident, slip and fall accident or a work related accident. He has handled injury cases for his entire legal career of over 20 years. Over the last 15 years, Mr. Fava has built a formidable Workers' Compensation practice. Mr. Fava is known and respected throughout the Workers' Compensation Courts statewide. He represents injured workers of all backgrounds from assembly line workers to corporate officers of large companies. A big part of his clientele is made up of law enforcement personnel and teachers. Mr. Fava is associated with the police unions and is frequently asked to give lectures regarding the rights of an injured worker. Additionally, Mr. Fava works closely with the New Jersey Education Association (NJEA) and routinely gives advice to the Union's membership. Joseph Fava is a graduate of Seton Hall University class of 1994. He went on to pursue his Juris Doctorate at Touro Law School, which is located in Huntington, New York. Michael J. DeMarco enjoyed a 26-year career with the Passaic County Prosecutor's Office. He rose through the ranks to become Deputy First Assistant Prosecutor in 2015, where he supervised all the special investigative units. Prior to that, he was the Chief Assistant Prosecutor of the Major Crimes Unit, where he oversaw hundreds of homicide and vehicular homicide investigations. Mr. DeMarco was the legal advisor to the Paterson Police Cease Fire Unit. His duties also included the investigation of all police-involved shootings. Mr. DeMarco was the former Director of the Passaic County Narcotics Task Force. There he supervised teams of detectives and prosecutors who successfully seized hundreds of kilos of cocaine, heroin, and crystal meth, as well as the seizure of in excess of a million dollars in drug proceeds. Mr. DeMarco has extensive experience as a trial attorney in complex criminal matters. This experience has allowed him to become a Certified Criminal Trial Attorney by the New Jersey Supreme Court. This designation is held by approximately 3% of all New Jersey Attorneys. In 2018, Mr. DeMarco was honored by the County Prosecutors Association of New Jersey with the Outstanding Advocacy Over A Career Award. Mr. DeMarco believes in giving back to the profession by teaching younger attorneys criminal trial skills. He is an instructor with the New Jersey Attorney General's Advocacy Institute; is a Certified Police Instructor, and has lectured throughout New Jersey on Strict Liability Drug Induced Death as part of the New Jersey Attorney General's Heroin and Opiate Task Force Initiative. Mr. DeMarco has taught at the college level for more than two decades. He is currently an adjunct professor at William Paterson University and a doctoral lecturer at Queensborough Community College/CUNY, both in their respective criminal justice programs. Mr. DeMarco previously was a participant in the New Jersey State Bar Foundation Speaker's Bureau. He has lectured at Passaic County Technical High School, Paterson Public Schools, West Milford Schools, Dover High School, Newark Public Schools, and Essex Academy High School. Michael J. DeMarco is a graduate of William Paterson College and New England School of Law. He has also completed the Civil Trial Litigation Program of the Justice Clifford American Inn of Court. He recently achieved an Advanced Certificate in Immigration Law from the City University of New York.

RONALD J. RICCI

Ronald J. Ricci has concentrated his practice on criminal defense, plaintiff personal injury, labor law/education and civil rights defense. He also regularly handles disciplinary and disability matters for public employees. Mr. Ricci is one of the few attorneys selected in New Jersey by the National Fraternal Order of Police to represent law enforcement officers in criminal matters and disciplinary matters, Mr. Ricci successfully defended an East Orange Police Officer against a twenty-one count Indictment in Essex County, New Jersey. Mr. Ricci also defends teachers, custodians, and other educational personnel in criminal and DCPP, formerly known as DYFS matters throughout the State of New Jersey on behalf of the New Jersey Education Association. Recently, Mr. Ricci obtained a not guilty verdict for a Paterson School Teacher charged with multiple counts of Official Misconduct in Passaic County, New Jersey and has had great success in defending teachers against Tenure Charges. Mr. Ricci's criminal practice, however, is not limited to police officers and teachers. Mr. Ricci regularly handles criminal matters in the State and Federal Courts of New Jersey for non-public employees and has obtained Not-Guilty Verdicts for his clients charged with Aggravated Assault, Unlawful Possession of a Weapon and Sexual Assault, in Bergen County, Passaic County, and Union Counties. Mr. Ricci has further obtained Not-Guilty Verdicts for his clients both in New York and New Jersey Federal Courts relative to Drug Smuggling and Bank Robbery Indictments. Mr. Ricci also handles disorderly person cases and regularly obtains dismissals and not guilty verdicts in the Municipal Courts of New Jersey. Mr. Ricci has extensive experience handling Personal Injury matters, with an emphasis on construction accidents, on behalf of injured clients. In the last ten years, he has obtained in excess of $30,000,000.00 in settlements and trial verdicts for his injured clients.
