As Director of the SFA sponsor meal program, Dr. Aleman managed many administrative reviews with no significant findings and led over a dozen vendor procurements for both FSMC and Vended Meals contracts. Over the years Dr. Aleman has created systems to closely monitor meal waste and meal count errors; on average, schools that participated in the meal program under her leadership saw a reduction in meal waste of 75%. Dr. Aleman has worked as a teacher and administrator in public and charter schools for over 20 years, and she holds a Ph.D. in Education from UCLA.
