Devi K. Chettiar is a certified Physician Assistant practicing in the Twin Cities since 2010. She was born in Vancouver, Canada and moved to the Plymouth area of Minnesota in her teen years. She went to the University of Minnesota to complete a Bachelor of Science in Health and Wellness with a core in Public Health. She completed her Master of Science in Physician Assistant studies at the University of South Dakota in Vermillion where she also taught yoga and organized a 5K to raise money for HIV awareness in India.
Devi spent 9 years working at the Health Partners Specialty Center in the General Surgery department, specializing in skin surgery. During her time at Health Partners, she enjoyed precepting PA students from various schools for their skin surgery elective rotation. Devi was thrilled to join her familiar colleagues at North Metro Dermatology in 2019.
Devi is enjoying utilizing her surgical skills at NMD while also furthering her passion for general dermatology. She is proud to be a member of the Society of Dermatology Physician Assistants (SDPA).
In her free time, Devi enjoys spending time with her husband, daughter, twin sons, and her cuddly black lab, Maya. She is an avid runner and enjoys biking with her family.
Sherri A. Long, MD is a board-certified dermatologist who has practiced in the Twin Cities since 1988. Born and raised in West Branch, Iowa, she graduated with a Bachelor of Biomedical Engineering degree with honors from the College of Engineering at the University of Iowa.
She attended medical school at the Carver School of Medicine in Iowa City, Iowa, and completed her internal medicine internship at St. John's Mercy Medical Center in St. Louis, Missouri. She completed her residency in Dermatology at the University of Iowa where she served as Chief Resident.
Dr. Long had been a staff dermatologist at Health Partners for 24 years before joining North Metro Dermatology in 2013. She has been on staff at the University of Minnesota part-time as an Assistant Clinical Professor and has taught second-year medical students on a volunteer basis.
Dr. Long has been named one of Minnesota Monthly's Top Doctors and has been listed as Top Doctor in Minneapolis-St. Paul Magazine every year since joining North Metro Dermatology.
Dr. Long is a Diplomate of the American Board of Dermatology and a fellow of the American Academy of Dermatology. She is a member of both the Minnesota and Iowa Dermatological Societies and is also a member of the Dermatology Foundation Leader's Society.
She has provided comprehensive dermatological care for both adults and children for over 31 years. Her interests are in diagnosing and treating a wide variety of skin diseases, including but not limited to acne, rosacea, eczema, psoriasis, rashes, and skin cancers.
Dr. Long is committed to providing her patients with the most effective, safe, and advanced treatments available while making their visits as comfortable and informative as possible.
In her spare time, she enjoys cooking, reading, traveling, and spending time with family and friends. She is married with 2 grown children.
