St. John's Higher Secondary School, Barama is a religious minority educational institution established in the year 1985. It is managed by the Diocese of Bongaigaon, Assam with the principles and methods of Catholic Schools throughout the world and affiliated to The Board of Secondary Education, Assam (SEBA) and The Assam Higher Secondary Educational Council (AHSEC) for Higher Secondary. Envisaging the needs of the time to challenge the competitive world, the school has been raised the status of Higher Secondary in the year 2009 with Science stream. Later, the Arts stream has been launched in the year 2012. The first batch appeared for the Final Examination in the year 2011 and their performance had been excellent and cent percent. Keeping the view ahead of launching Commerce stream shortly.
