Amy is currently studying to be a veterinary nurse at University Centre Sparsholt, having changed career to follow her passion - animals! She is a Labrador lover and has a particular interest in senior pets and pain management. Amy loves nature and countryside walks, and is a keen advocate of being environmentally friendly.

Amy is a veterinary nurse who qualified this summer. She is particularly interested in emergency and critical care. At home she has 3 wirehaired dachshunds, a cat and a gecko. In her spare time Amy enjoys knitting, reading and musical theatre.

Annalisa Donzelli

Annalisa, who originates from Sicily in Italy, happily joined our team in September 2022 after having worked in hotels for 4 years. Her big love for animals has led her to change her career. At Strathmore she takes good care of our beloved patients as an animal care assistant. In her spare time, she loves cooking, spending time with her partner and their daughter Carlotta and taking care of her 3 Jack Russell's, Macchia, Lady and Mia.

Chloe Edlin

Chloe joined the Strathmore team in January 2022. She is an avid learner and keen to widen her knowledge in the animal industry. In her spare time she enjoys swimming, spending time with her friends and family, and walking her neighbours dog called Nora.

Clare joined the practice in August 2004. She has been nursing since 1999. She has a keen interest in physiotherapy. Clare has a Sprocker called Bella.

David Ferguson

David joined the Strathmore team in February 2021 as the Practice Manager. He is originally from the Isle of Wight and he has served 25 years in the British Army. After spending 22 years overseas, he returned to the UK in 2011. David is interested in military history. He is now trying to re-discover the UK, after being overseas for so long. In his free time, David enjoys camping, travelling and sport shooting. He has three dogs and one son.

Emily Hunt

Emily has recently moved to the area where she's finishing her, Bsc (Hon) Veterinary Nursing Degree at Hartpury University while working at Strathmore vets. She has a particular interest in rehabilitation and behaviour that she hopes to develop in her career. Emily shares her time with her new puppy, Hades, Rabbit, Leon and a Beta fish, Albert. When not working she enjoys spending time on Salisbury plains with Hades, reading, and sewing or seeing the world on short adventures breaks.

Faith Derbyshire

Faith is our Head Nurse and has a certificate and special interest in anaesthesia. She is also a pet bereavement advisor. She has 2 dogs, a Whippet called Fynn and a Yorkshire Terrier called Polly. Out of work, Faith likes to walk her dogs and spend time with friends and family. Her summer weekends are usually spent sailing on the River Thames with her son, husband and dogs.

Francesca Bartolini

Francesca studied Veterinary Medicine at Pisa in Italy and graduated in 2010, and started at the clinic in October 2017. Her work is based in the clinic's laboratory where she provides an in house diagnostic service from samples taken from our patients. For a 5 year period before joining the clinic, she had worked alongside specialists in Ireland, Scotland and Italy where she was Head of laboratory services. In her spare time Francesca enjoys swimming, music and keeping up with her 2 year old twins Filippo and Matilde.

Francesca Basterebbe

Francesca joined the Strathmore team in January 2010 and became Clinical Director in 2014. She studied Veterinary Medicine in Milan, Italy, but also spent 1 year in León, Spain on an exchange programme. After graduating in 2006, she worked in referral and general practices in Spain and Italy before moving to the UK. In the UK, Francesca completed an internship at Davies Veterinary Specialists, which she finished in October 2009. She is keenly interested in surgery, orthopaedics, soft tissue and endoscopy. In 2013, Francesca completed her ESVPS (European School of Veterinary Postgraduate Studies) GP Certificate in Small Animal Surgery. In her free time, Francesca enjoys travelling the world with her husband and their 2 children.

Giacomo Taglietti

Giacomo joined Strathmore team in November 2015. Giacomo studied Veterinary medicine in Milan, Italy, but also spent one year in Lisbon, Portugal on an exchange program. After graduating in 2006 he went on to live and work in Rome, Lisbon and Milan. Giacomo is interested in internal medicine, chiropractic, and dentistry. In his spare time Giacomo loves to travel, play rugby, read, write and ride his bike.

Jen made the decision a few years ago to change career and do her veterinary nursing training. She says it's the most challenging but rewarding thing I've ever done. At home she has a rescue cat called Ralph and two Guinea Pigs called Monica and Phoebe. In her spare time she enjoys mountain biking and paddle boarding.

Josie-Leah Tomlinson

Josie joined the Strathmore team in November 2022. Josie is from Hastings, East Sussex and qualified in 2013 and has an interest in diagnostic imaging. She has a cat called Oscar and two rabbits called Parsnip and Radish. Out of work Josie likes hiking including climbing Snowdon. She also enjoys sewing and going out for rides on her motorbike.

Matteo Spano

Matteo joined the clinic in September 2017. He graduated from Pisa University in Italy in 2008. After working in general practice in Italy and Germany, he spent 5 years in charge of the Emergency Medicine department of a referral hospital in Milan. His main work interests are internal medicine, ultrasound and ophthalmology. Matteo, along with his partner Francesca, have lovely 2 year old twins Filippo and Matilde who keep their parents very busy exploring the countryside!

Sharna Walker

Sharna is a vet student at the Royal Veterinary College and expects to qualify in 2025. She also has a previous degree in Bio-Veterinary Science. She has a particular interest in canine behaviour, dermatology and all things surgery! She has a miniature pinscher called Rain, who she took home just prior to the Covid-19 pandemic and as such, has plenty of first-hand experience with lockdown puppies. In her free time, Sharna loves to travel. She can often be found outdoors with Rain, hiking, wild swimming or paddleboarding. She also has a keen interest in photography.

Sophie England
