In addition to services that focus on skills training, we strongly believe that building relationships and a sense of community is critical for persons with disabilities. One popular aspect of THH is the "Special Events" we offer. These are offered to any young adult with a disability (18+) in the community at a very low cost per hour to cover support and transportation. Those enrolled at THH can use their Iong-term care funding for these events, as well. Special Events are intended to get our participants together with others in the community to broaden social opportunities, enjoy new activities, and build new, lasting relationships... These services help participants obtain and maintain competitive or customized employment in a community-integrated work setting.
