The Paper Lid Company launches a plastic-free cardboard lid for take-away mugs. Metsä Board, which belongs to the Metsä Group and manufactures packaging boards, is involved in the production. The lid made of recyclable cardboard is suitable for both cold and hot drinks. Reducing the amount of plastic waste is now even more important. We wanted to develop an innovation that supports the circular economy, the cardboard cover is a great example of just such a solution... We have been working with a 100% recyclable cardboard cover for years, and now together with Metsä Board we have been able to create a workable solution... We have develope a 100% recyclable paperboard lid for use with takeaway cups. Suitable for use with both hot and cold beverages.
