Jane Blowers

Jane has worked in the consumer credit arena for over 10 years. She qualified as a lawyer in 2004 and liaises regularly with regulators, trade associations, lenders and credit brokers. She is well renowned in the consumer finance lending market for compliance advice. Her roles have included Approved Persons, MRLO's, and Head of Legal and Compliance for Alternative Lenders and Brokers. Neil Pool

Neil currently sits on the board of the Consumer Finance Association and over the last 14 years has been involved with many UK lenders and consumer credit businesses, including helping to found and grow a HCSTC lender in the UK. He regularly consults for various lending organisations, from pre-start up to ongoing business development and emergency assistance for specialised projects, both in the UK and Overseas.  In 2008 he attended the Online Lenders Alliance in Las Vegas to promote the UK market. Realising there was an urgent need, he developed contacts with Banks, Merchant Acquirers and PSP's to obtain facilities in the UK for lenders and working with online fraud businesses to help reduce bad debt within the industry. To date he has worked with over 20 start-up lenders and is currently working with some of the largest UK and European lenders. Other notable achievements include starting the Payday Fraud Group in association with Trans Union and 20 of the top lenders; sitting on the Payday Lending Task Force of the CCTA; and at the 2014 CCTA Conference chairing a panel debate on ‘Authorisation by the Financial Conduct Authority'. As a qualified accountant (FCCA) Neil had a broad experience in accountancy and systems gained over many years before moving into general management in the financial services sector. In the last ten years he has also worked with a range of businesses both online and in storefront models and have specialised in sourcing difficult to find banking services, developing underwriting policies and setting up best practice across all areas of the business. Working with owners and management teams to build businesses, planning for the future development and ensuring reporting and communications are in place across the board.
