DR WILSON - Key Persons


Dr. Jamie Joswick

Dr. Joswick attended Michigan State University. She received a Bachelor of Science in Zoology in 2006 and a Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree in 2010. Her professional interests include behavioral modification, internal medicine, and abdominal ultrasound. Dr. Joswick's current pets include her Australian Shepherd mixed breed dogs, Jasmine and Sprocket; and her cat, Picasso (aka Paczki). In her free time, Dr. Joswick enjoys outdoor activities, camping, art and photography.

Dr. Jeremy Krieger

Dr. Krieger graduated in May 2006 from Michigan State University with a Doctor of Veterinary Medicine Degree. His professional interests are emergency medicine, large breed dogs, soft tissue surgery, and neurology. Dr. Krieger currently resides with his wife Carrie, two children, Great Dane "Ox," English Bulldog "Mugsy," and two cats, "Houdini and Cider.

Dr. John Wilson

Dr. Wilson attended Michigan State University where he received a Bachelor of Science degree in Reproductive Physiology and his Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree in 1984. Dr. Wilson opened his first community based practice Wilson Veterinary Hospital in 1990. In 1992 he was certified as a diplomat of the American Board of Veterinary Practitioners, with a specialty in dogs and cats and was re-certified in 1999, 2009 and 2019. His professional affiliations include Southeastern Michigan Veterinary Medical Association and Michigan Veterinary Medical Association. Dr. Wilson sold Wilson Veterinary Hospital in 2021 however he is still owner of three veterinary clinics - Animal Clinic of Sterling Heights, Yale Veterinary Hospital and Rescue Veterinary Services; and co-owns three veterinary clinics - Hollow Corners Veterinary Hospital, Richmond Veterinary Hospital and Parker Veterinary Hospital. Dr. Wilson's areas of specialty include reproductive services, orthopedics and ear/nose/throat surgeries. Dr. Wilson is married with four children and 3 pets - Millie (Labrador), Winslow (English Bulldog) and a cat named Scout. Dr. Wilson enjoys hiking in his free time.

Dr. Laura Besecke

Dr. Laura Besecke graduated from Ross University in 2014, where she earned her Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine. Dr. Besecke was born and raised in Germany and moved to the U.S. when she was 5 years old, and has lived in Michigan for the majority of her life. She completed her clinical and surgical training at Michigan State University's School of Veterinary Medicine. Dr. Besecke's professional interests include dentistry, soft tissue surgery and internal medicine, with a particular passion for feline medicine. Dr. Besecke lives with her fiance and her two cats, Ciera and Sammi. She enjoys traveling all over Europe, cooking and spending time with her family.

Dr. Melissa Munger

Dr. Melissa Munger has a Bachelor of Science in Zoology and a Doctor of Veterinary Medicine from Michigan State University. She has also pursued education in the fields of human health, fitness and massage therapy. Dr. Munger has a strong background in pet wellness and routine surgeries. Prior to moving into private practice, Dr. Munger worked as a shelter Veterinarian and in spay/neuter clinics, tackling with the growing pet overpopulation problem in the United States. Dr. Munger is never done learning and plans to continue learning, exploring new skills sets and adventures. She strongly believes in the power of spaying and neutering as a tool to minimize unnecessary euthanasia due to lack of homes. Dr. Munger has 2 geriatric dogs - a miniature poodle named Moe that was a hurricane Katrina rescue, a Pomeranian named O.D. that was a rescued stray and three cats that were adopted from the shelter - Buster, Gus and GiGi. Outside of work, Dr. Munger enjoys fitness and exercise, ballroom and Latin dancing gardening, yoga, fish and keeping aquariums. Dr. Munger is a free spirit and enjoys a variety of vocations and careers - vet med, massage therapy, personal trainer, group fitness instructor and ballroom dance teacher! Who knows what will be next for her!

Dr. Rebecca Griffin

Dr. Griffin received her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree from Michigan State University in May of 2003. Upon graduation, she completed a one-year small animal rotating internship at VCA Veterinary Referral Associates in Gaithersburg, MD. Her professional interests include internal medicine and ultrasonography. Apart from caring for furry family members, she most enjoys spending time with family and friends, reading, and travel.
