BRUCE DRESSER

Bruce has played trumpet with the Rogue Valley Symphony for over 20 years. With the Rogue Valley Symphony Brass Quintet, he and the other members of the group have worked actively to sustain its educational mission, performing all over the Rogue Valley and other areas of southern Oregon in numerous recitals, school concerts, and master classes. He has performed with the Oregon Shakespeare Festival in numerous productions, plays in the Ashland City Band and the Rogue Valley Symphonic Band, and is an active freelance player. Bruce teaches trumpet privately, coaches with the Youth Symphony of Southern Oregon, and had adjudicated at band and solo and ensemble festivals locally and in the Bay Area. He also teaches band in public school with the Ashland School District. Bruce holds a Bachelor of Music degree from San Francisco State University, and a Master of Arts in Teaching degree from SOU.
