Dr. Ciara Glennane

Dr Ciara Glennane graduated with Honours from UCD Medicine in 2003 and completed specialist GP training with the Western GP Training Programme in 2009. Since then, she has accumulated extensive experience in General Practice in both Scotland and the West of Ireland. Along with this, she has worked in hospital positions in the areas of Palliative Care in Scotland and for four years in the Department of Dermatology, UCHG. She was also involved in lecturing medical students in NUIG during this time. Dr Ciara has completed extra qualifications in Dermatology, Women's Health, Family Planning, Paediatrics, Diabetes Care and in Medical Education and has special interests in all of these areas.

Dr. Marie Egan

Marie graduated from NUIGalway in 1989 and worked in Medicine in Galway and Obstetrics and Paediatrics in Cork, before completing her Vocational GP training in Bristol. From there she worked in General Practice in London, Dublin and Waterford. She earned Membership of the Royal College of General Practitioners and the Irish College of General Practitioners. She is also on the GP Specialist Register and holds Diplomas in Obstetrics, Child Health and Family Planning. She returned to Galway in 1997 where she set up the practice with Niamh. She has a particular interest in Asthma, Womens Health and Menopause, Migraine, Pregnancy Care and Student Health.

Dr. Niamh Haverty

Niamh graduated from NUIG in 1991 and worked in Paediatrics prior to entering the Western GP Training scheme, which she completed in 1995, earning membership of the Irish college of General Practitioners and the Royal College of General Practitioners. Like her colleagues, she is on the GP Specialist register. She holds Diplomas in Child Health and Obstetrics and a certificate in family planning. Having worked as a single handed gp in Boyle and Strokestown and locum gp all over the West, she returned to Galway City to establish the practice with Marie in August 1997. In addition to experience in all aspects of GP, she has a particular interest in preventive health, child and teen health, men's health, chronic disease and health in the elderly.

Nurse Miriam Cooke
