DOWNHHILL CUTTERS

DownHill Cutters is a family owned, small-batch, custom sawmill and kiln located in Darden, Tennessee, a short 90 minute drive west of Nashville. We search for oversized or unusually shaped logs that are not suitable for commercial mills to process. While we love to process any of the beautiful hardwoods that grow in Western Central Tennessee, we're a little partial to #2 logs of White Oak, Maple, and Walnut. We look for the largest, gnarliest logs we can find, and cut them to reveal their most beautiful grain-figure, and to maximize usable lumber... We stack and air-dry our lumber on custom made Air-O-Flow kiln sticks from Troy, Tennessee's DHM Company
