Dr. Bhumika Upadhyay has obtained her M.Sc. Medical Biochemistry from Sikkim Manipal Institute of Medical sciences and research , Sikkim and Ph.D. (Medical Biochemistry) from Jamia Hamdard, New Delhi. She has more than 12 years of Post-PG research and teaching experience and has quite a few papers published in National and International Journals of high repute. She is trained in various research techniques used in biomedical research. She has done her PhD research on "Identification of biomarker(s) for Type 2 Diabetes Mellitus and Oral Cancer induced by tobacco abuse". Her area of specialization is Cancer proteomics, non-communicable disease and non-invasive biomarkers. She has co-supervised many MSc students in biochemistry for dissertation research projects. She has also hosted various events at HIMSR as master of ceremony, she is an active member of the lecture theatre team and cultural committee at HIMSR. From teaching MBBS and PG students to handling clinical biochemistry lab in hospital all these years has helped her to gain knowledge various aspects of Biochemistry.

Dr. Kailash Chandra has obtained his M.Sc. Medical Biochemistry from Kumaun University Nainital, UK and Ph.D. (Medical Biochemistry) from Jamia Hamdard, New Delhi. He has more than 10 years of Post-PG research and teaching experience and has a number of papers published in National and International Journals of high repute. He is trained in various research techniques used in biomedical research. His specialization is in Biochemical, phytochemical and Molecular Biology techniques with expertise in animal and human trials. As a student he had a deep interest in understanding the role of traditional medicines in metabolic disorders. Therefore, he has selected the problem of insulin resistance and undertook an in depth study of the role of Cichorium intbyus seeds. They have proved the beneficial effect of Cichorium intbyus seeds in diabetes mellitus by animal and human studies. For this, the study group has filed a patent to Indian Patent office that entitled ‘A Natural Phytochemical Dietary Supplement for Prevention, Treatment, and Management of Diabetes Mellitus. He is currently a part of clinical trial as an investigator in three different projects at HAHC Hospital, New Delhi.
Dr. Sana Alam has completed her M.B.B.S.(2008) and MD Biochemistry(2013) from esteemed Jawaharlal Nehru Medical College (JNMC), Aligarh Muslim University(A.M.U). Presently, she is working as Associate Professor in Hamdard Institute of Medical Sciences & Research, New Delhi.She has total teaching experience of more than 10 years in her field and is also the UG-teaching incharge from Biochemistry. She has many publications in both national and international indexed journals. She did research on glycation of H2A histone in SLE patients as a part of her dissertation. She has supervised many MBBS students in prestigious STS-ICMR research projects and also guiding MSc students in biochemistry. She is also supervising PG students and currently involved in various research projects in her institute. She wants to build a strong foundation for her students and instil in them a scientific acumen so that they can carry out cutting-edge research in their careers. Moreover, she takes part in various responsibilities and is working continuously towards improvement of the quality of medical education in her institute so that it becomes at par with the best in the world.
Prof. (Dr.) Sandeep Kumar presently the Head of the department of Orthopaedics. He received his medical education from eminent Institutes like IMS, Banaras Hindu University, UCMS (Delhi) and Royal college of surgeons (Edinburgh). He has more than 18 years of experience. He has been member of various faculty selection committees and examiner to MBBS and PG examinations at various institutions. He is beloved teacher to his undergraduate and post graduate students.
He is having vast clinical and administrative experience as Head, Accident & Emergency Department; Treasurer and Joint secretary of Indian Orthopaedic Association. He has organised various national and state level conferences and workshops. He has more than 25 publications in numerous reputed indexed journals. He has been awarded as best researcher award in 2019 and is regularly invited as guest speaker in various national and international conferences.
