When I was nine years old my parents had purchased one of those old-time John Deere Pedal Tractors for me to expend some of my unbounded energy on. I rode it around everywhere on the farmland we lived on...for about a month. After a while of looking at the wheels turning as I pumped the peddles, I just had to know how it all worked and was interconnected. So I found dad's toolbox and away I went. (After all, I was following in my fathers' footsteps of being able to work on anything metal or wood to repair or build it... Now it lay on the concrete, completely dissembled so that it couldn't be disassembled any further... Fast-forward about 40 years; not a lot has changed. Let me tell you, I've been blessed with having had the opportunity to gain a lot of experience in accomplishing one deep-dive after another to discover how things work and what makes them tick. It's more than just the hand-on part but the book-learnin' about Ohm's Law, electrical theory, fluid dynamics and the like..
