HOMELESS TO WELDING

HOMELESS TO WELDING is a project of McWane and Associates started in 2019 for the sole purpose of recruiting, training, and placing homeless people in welding jobs, and thereby reduce the homeless population and the chronic welder shortage problem... HOMELESS TO WELDING is a de facto nonprofit project. That is, the HOMELESS TO WELDING project actually operates as a nonprofit but without the rules, regulations, and procedures required of a formal nonprofit. No funds received are held for profit. All funds received are used to cover the expenses of recruiting, training, and placing the homeless in welding jobs... This is the United States of America, one of the richest countries in the world. So why are there homeless people living on the streets? Especially when there is a chronic shortage of welders in California and Nationwide.
