Cave Quarries Inc. has been a family owned business for the last 55 years, beginning with Raymond Knies in 1960. Ray had purchased the business from William Cave, who started the company in the 1930's. Since Raymond bought Cave Quarries, Inc. in 1960, his sons, Jeff and Joe Knies have worked to offer excavating and grading through their father's start-up in 1949, Knies Construction, Inc., and asphalt paving through Calcar Paving, Inc., since 2008.
