Hayley Miller

Dr. Miller grew up in Wyoming and received her undergraduate degree in Nutrition and Food Sciences from the University of Wyoming. After garnering her M.D. from the University of Washington School of Medicine, she trained in Internal Medicine and Endocrinology in Wisconsin and Utah respectively. During her training, Dr. Miller participated in many aspects of research, but her true passion has always been patient care. She has given a number of talks to both patients & providers about healthcare innovation, optimizing diabetes management, insulin pump therapy, continuous glucose monitoring, insulin intensification and weight management. A self-proclaimed "diabetes nerd," Dr. Miller's professional interests stem from her own experience with type 1 diabetes, diagnosed at age 10. In her free time, she is a Barre enthusiast and enjoys movies, traveling, and outdoor activities with her husband and teenage sons.

Mountain States Diabetes is thrilled to welcome Luz - the newest team member of our team! Luz is a registered nurse and certified virtual assistant who is committed to providing the highest quality of care. After working 4 years in the hospital in the medical, surgical, and pediatric wards, she transitioned to virtual care to allow her to spend more time with her family. A fierce advocate for her patients' best interests, she collaborates with patients and Hayley Miller to promote optimal health outcomes and ensure that everyone understands the plan of care. As the virtual assistant and nurse for Mountain States Diabetes, Luz has her hands full! In addition to responding to messages, answering/returning calls, and coordinating referrals, she triages medical concerns, facilitates medication refills, and works with our patients for intake before each appointment. Luz is inspired daily by her loving parents, siblings, and grandfather. When not working, she finds herself reading, watching movies, and traveling.
