Having an understanding in implementation planning and construction supervision services, he was entrusted being Assistant Manager of Pressure Equipment and Plant Technology.

Mr. Onies MT brings with him over 30 years of experience in Marine & Offshore Surveying and Consultancy, having served the Indonesian & International Marine Insurance, P&I Club and Shipping Industries on a wide range of matters including various high profiles cases. During his previous career at sea, he served on board oil, general cargo and log carriers up to the rank of Master. After his career at sea, he spent almost 4 years as Operation Manager for an Indonesian Shipping firm, and subsequently he worked as Marine Surveyor and Consultant. During the course of his further career, he held various positions in leading Indonesian and International Marine & Offshore Surveying and Consultancy, Inspection & Testing firms up to the level of Managing Director who responsible for all aspects including the operations in and around the Indonesian archipelago. He has an extensive records of having dealt with large ranges of different ships and cargoes and claim types with particular specialization in the field of liquid and bulk cargoes such as coal, ore and liquid contamination, and investigation of collision, nautical studies and condition / risk assessments
