NIPO

The NIPO (Nypa Palm Intellectual Property Ownership), a stakeholder, has therefore proposed and plans to provide seeds for "reforestation" to be planted in the 1.5 million hectares of the mangrove forest in accordance with the suitability of the climate, soil, area, and so forth. This "reforestation" will consist of the endangered Nypa palm, Avicennia, Lumnitzera, Bruguiera, Ceriops, Kandelia, Rhizophora, and Sonneratia. We intend to establish integrated land use and management, establish Nipah Palm plantations on unproductive land, and promote the international commerce of its products all at the same time.
