In 1994, Chris Rule started Rule Signs in a small shop on Merchants Row in Randolph. Rob and Lynne Niebling purchased Rule Signs in 1999 and moved it to a building on Beanville Road for about 5 years, then moved to their home on Flint Road. In fall 2018 it was purchased by the Zani Family, Charles, Suzy, Jake & Tom, and moved to their home on Bear Hill Rd... According to Rob, digital printing was the most significant change in the sign business while he owned it. In the beginning, he had a printer that used a ribbon to print to vinyl much like typewriters printed to paper. He had a deep commitment to the community and felt local business organizations were an important affiliation, both to strengthen the community as a whole and to help local businesses thrive.
