Dr. Erin Roe

Dr. Roe completed medical school at Ohio State University, after which she began her training at Duke University and concluded at UT Southwestern with world-renowned experts in diabetes, lipids, obesity, and calcium and bone disorders. She is certified in endocrinology, diabetes & metabolism, internal medicine and obesity medicine, and has an additional distinction in clinical densitometry. She completed the Physician Executive Leadership Program at Southern Methodist University's Cox School of Business and holds an MBA from Notre Dame's Mendoza College of Business. A Midwest native, Dr. Roe completed her medical training across a broad cross-section of the U.S., from clinics in the Rust Belt and Appalachia to Parkland Hospital to the leading academic medical centers serving patients from around the world. Personally, she has a family history of diabetes and knows firsthand how all-consuming it is to live with. All of these experiences help her to connect and communicate with patients from all walks of life and to build treatment plans that meet them where they are, taking into account their individual needs and lifestyle. Dr. Roe firmly believes that medicine cannot work if it's not delivered with a caring ear and mindfulness for the whole patient. Outside her work, Dr. Roe is a "boy mom" to two energetic, elementary-school-aged youngsters and stays busy with all of the camping, sports, and homework that entails. She enjoys reading, working out and attending theatre and music events. She continues to study voice, specifically classical and opera. She volunteers as a court-appointed special advocate for children in the Dallas County family court system as well as for her children's school, PTA, and church.
