Pat McGeary is an experienced HR consultant who established Summit after spending a 40-year career in Human Resources. His expertise is in working with, influencing and coaching executives and their teams. He helps executives and their teams identify and solve performance and development problems. Pat's colleagues say he is a consummate coach who challenges people to answer hard questions; is a great listener who asks the right questions; influences & guides individuals and teams; molds, shapes & enables decision making; thinks critically & practically about business challenges; effects change in a business; directs & enables leaders; and advocates for & creates meaningful solutions. He's done his work at 3 big American firms: GE Software International (1981-1987), Digital Equipment Corporation (1987-1999), and Fidelity Investments (1999-2020). Pat holds English Literature degrees from St. Francis College, BA; Southern Illinois University, MA; and an MBA from Northeastern University. During his Fidelity Investments tenure, he's worked with 9 different Presidents in multiple revenue-generating businesses. So he's adapted to innumerable personalities, situations and approaches to managing businesses and people. As an outcome of these varied experiences, Pat is practiced at and has a wealth of experience in gaining insights into executives, their teams, and their organizations. He is adept at learning the key business and people issues, asks incisive questions to help executives think through their challenges and problems, and provides guidance that produces improved results or insights. He has adapted to the ups-and-downs of financial markets and technology revolutions, and consistently helped organizations assess and explain their responses to the changing challenges in simple terms, with fast and valuable solutions.
