Matt's career in ceramics began on leaving school, with a 2 year apprenticeship at an established pottery in Aylesford, Kent where he became skilled in various production throwing techniques using stoneware clay... In 2008, Matt set up his own ceramics studio in Capel-Le-Ferne, Kent. Initially, he continued to use stoneware clay for producing domestic pottery before experimenting with more decorative work... Matt Horne is a ceramic artist based at a studio in West Hythe, Kent (UK), specialising in hand thrown, decorative crystalline glazed porcelain ceramics.
