HUNDRED SHOWROOM® - Key Persons

Alejandra Muñoz Pons

Job Titles:
  • Designer
Alejandra Muñoz Pons is a London-based fashion designer recently graduated from Central Saint Martins. Her final collection, entitled "When I Dress As A Woman The Audience Laughs", served as a powerful commentary on societal perceptions of trans woman, reflecting also her own experience navigating through her transition. The collection silhouette is based around the hourglass shape, trying to achieve it through different distortions of the volumes. It investigates the traditional use of tailored suits and corsets and refashions them to break out of the traditional gender binary. She also uses prints and embroidery as a protest act, with decorative ‘flowers' woven through with homophobic and transphobic newspaper headlines. Alejandra is a model and activist; not only has she walked for brands like Art School London, she has regularly protested for more trans visibility in the fashion industry.
