I think I was probably born an engineer and my father's workshop was my playground. It was inevitable that I'd seek out an apprenticeship when I left school, and General Motors provided the necessary experience and a path which eventually lead to University where I read Mechanical Engineering. Discovering microprocessors was a defining moment and they've shaped the rest of my career, the majority of which has been spent designing CNC control systems.
