Dr Liz Watson

Dr Liz Watson has twenty years Board level experience. She has led governance reviews and strategic change projects, in the private, public and not for profit sectors in the UK and overseas. Liz has completed successful assignments, leading Board set ups, assessments and reviews including implementation of new governance systems and practice. She has also advised on the set up of new organisations and the recruitment and implementation of supporting executive teams, recognising different ownership groups including membership bodies, staff owners and user representatives.

Nick Manson

A board-level general manager, strategist and knowledge specialist. Nick has a broad background in the health sector working with public and non-governmental organisations in a general management, specialist or consultative capacity. He has worked internationally and at local, regional and national levels. Nick has worked with boards on corporate strategy and matching competencies to organisational needs. Originally working in developing countries, Nick acquired experience of child health, programme evaluation and relief planning. He then moved into roles in the NHS and the Department of Health focusing on policy analysis, information management and information strategy. After moving to Sydney, he was Director of Strategy and Information for a teaching hospital, winning plaudits for its innovative approaches to technology adoption and service delivery. Nick then became Chief Advisor on Health Information to the New Zealand Ministry of Health before returning to the UK. From 2001 to 2011 Nick held several senior positions in the NHS including at the Modernisation Agency and Institute for Innovation and Improvement. His focus has been on strategy, innovation, information management and knowledge sharing and learning. Since 2012, Nick has undertaken various strategic assignments for charities, health sector organisations and companies. For a number of years, Nick has been supporting a programme to develop and introduce trypanosome resistant cattle to sub-Saharan Africa. Nick's PhD (2003) focused on various aspects of the alignment of strategy and leadership. He also has degrees in Biochemistry, Public Health Nutrition and Computer Science.. Nick is an experienced and effective strategist, communicator and facilitator. Nick is a Trustee of the Meningitis Research Foundation.
