UPPER-LIMB

The aim of this workshop is to facilitate discussion across disciplinary boundaries of both state-of-the-art and emerging technologies for upper-limb device development, giving attendees not only a strong sense of the current state of the upper-limb field and its ongoing challenges, but also a pool of potential collaborators (ranging from early-stage engineering PhD students to established medical professionals). While conference sessions often focus on the final device design and performance, our session will focus on the process and key considerations that are essential for the development of effective devices but often minimally discussed in manuscripts and presentations. By combining engaging speaker presentations, an open panel discussion, and a poster and demonstration session of ongoing work, we aim to promote creative and exciting advances in this research area and conversation across disciplines to assist in the translation to clinical environments, as well as facilitate the..
