Breakfast Club, Tanzania believe that all school children have a right to a healthy, sustainable diet... Breakfast Club is an educational NGO based in the Mtwara province of Southern Tanzania. We believe it is essential for children to receive food during the school day and we are committed to creating sustainable School Feeding Programmes across the region. In Southern Tanzania most children will receive their only meal of the day when they return from home and do not eat for the entire school day. This lack of food has dramatic impacts on school children's energy, attainment and concentration, not to mention its negative impact on attendance. Furthermore,children will appreciate and enjoy schooling more if they are fed a nutritional breakfast. Our long-term aim is to work with numerous schools in the Mtwara Municipality in order to feed as many students as we can...
