Profile: Mr Andrew Duckworth is a Senior Clinical Lecturer at the University of Edinburgh and an Honorary Consultant Orthopaedic Trauma Surgeon at the Royal Infirmary of Edinburgh. Following completion of his training in Edinburgh, he was an Upper Limb Fellow at the Wrightington Upper Limb Unit. His clinical interests are in trauma and upper limb surgery, with a focus on injuries around the elbow, wrist and hand. His current research includes clinical trials in orthopaedic trauma, large data and patient reported outcome measures. He is a Co-CI and PI/co-app on NIHR funded clinical trials. He is an Editorial Board Member for the Bone and Joint Journal (BJJ) and Bone & Joint 360, and is a co-director of the world-renowned Edinburgh International Trauma Symposium.

Mr Amin was awarded a PhD by the University of Edinburgh in 2011 for his work on articular cartilage. He was appointed as a National Research Scotland (NRS) Clinician in 2015. Profile: Mr McKinley graduated from University of Dundee and completed his orthopaedic training in Edinburgh, with a fellowship in Melbourne in 2005. He was was appointed as a Consultant in Edinburgh in 2007 as an elective foot and ankle surgeon and also treats paediatric trauma . He is the clinical lead for foot and ankle services in Edinburgh and has been heavily involved in developing foot and ankle services in Scotland. He is regularly involved in educating surgeons and allied health professionals and helped set up a national multidisciplinary foot and ankle group. He set up the ChM in trauma and orthopaedic surgery -a surgical distance learning program resulting from the collaboration between the University of Edinburgh and the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh and is the program director. He deals with all aspects of elective foot and ankle pathology from bunions to ankle replacements, but has a particular interest in sporting injuries

Mr Clement graduated from the University of Newcastle and trained in his hometown of Sunderland before undertaking specialist training in the Southeast of Scotland. During his training he obtained a PhD for his work on patient factors influencing the outcome of total knee arthroplasty and a MD for his work on outcomes of elderly and super-elderly fractures. Mr Clement is now a Consultant at the Royal Infirmary of Edinburgh with an interest in lower limb arthroplasty and hip fracture care. He is the author of over 250 publications and several book chapters and believes that only through collaboration can orthopaedic science progress. In his limited spare time Mr Clement enjoys spending time with his family and his twin girls Rosie and Abigail, playing golf, and travelling.
