Initiated by Professor Qiuhua Liang, HEMLab is a research team with members from different research organisations, interested in development and application of high-performance modelling and data analytics tools to support natural hazard risk assessment and management... We conduct innovative research and create new knowledge and solutions to support disaster risk management and tackle relevant grand societal challenges induced by climate change and global development... We work at the forefront of computational hydraulics and data analytics to develop advanced models and tools to predict and forecast water-related natural hazards and hydro-environmental flow processes.
