ISAAW

ISAAW is made up of a dynamic Executive Board of civic minded professional South Asian American women who saw an opportunity to bring together an untapped, but potent, demographic: other South Asian American women. ISAAW'S Advisory Board, consisting of South Asian American women elected officials and political activists in New Jersey, all trailblazers in their own right, ranging from freeholders, councilwomen and school board members to mayors and influential political activists... ISAAW was founded in 2017 to create a platform for South Asian American women interested in greater civic engagement. At ISAAW, we are driven by a single mission: to empower South Asian American women effect change in their communities. As part of our mission, we strive to increase awareness on issues impacting South Asian American Women. We help mobilize South Asian American Women to increase their involvement in public service. At the end of the day, diverse voices only strengthen democracy.
