Alejandro Franco

Alejandro Franco has been helping the Company with business development and strategic partnership opportunities in Mexico as a consultant for over a year prior to his appointment to the Board. He has been advising and facilitating the Company's negotiations with a telecommunication company in Mexico. Franco has twenty six years of cross-industry experience with leading start-up and high-growth companies. He is known for delivering strong and sustainable revenue and profit gains in highly competitive markets throughout the U.S., China, Taiwan, Mexico, and Brazil. He has extensive experience in leading large-scale, complex, global operations in these countries. Franco is the president and founder of Amextel (Mexico). He was also the founder and president of TVM, Inc. (Mexico) from 1985 to 1988 and Bela Corp. (U.S.) from 1988 to 2000. Franco also works as a consultant to America Movil in Mexico, Streamibox in the U.S., Glory Inc. in Taiwan, and Heng Tong, Eastcompeace, and ZTE in China. Franco has a degree in Economics from the UNAM University in Mexico, a degree in Industrial Design from the Ibero University in Mexico, and Masters in Theology from Oblate University in San Antonio, Texas.

Bob Brilon - CFO

Bob Brilon returned to Iveda in December 2013. Bob is a senior executive with over 30 years of experience as a Chief Financial Officer (CFO) and Chief Executive Officer (CEO) for both private and public companies. Most recently, Bob served as CFO and EVP of Business Development for Brain State Technologies, a leading system for Brainwave Optimization®. During his tenure there, he was successful in raising capital while also providing leadership in financial operations, technology licensing programs, and channel development. Prior to that, Bob held CFO positions for various companies that required his expertise including MD Helicopters and Iveda (2008 to 2010). He was instrumental in Iveda becoming a fully reporting public company and subsequently structuring the transaction that led to the acquisition of MEGAsys, Iveda's subsidiary in Taiwan. Bob served as the CEO and CFO for InPlay Technologies (NASDAQ:NPLA), formerly Duraswitch (NASDAQ:DSWT) patent holder and global licensor of magnetic switches, from 1998 to 2007. Other positions held include CFO at Gietz Master Builders, Corporate Controller at Rental Service Corp. (NYSE:RRR) and CFO and Vice President of Operations at DataHand Systems, Inc. Bob was also CFO at Go-Video (AMEX:VCR), manufacturer of the first dual-deck VCR. Prior to his career in the corporate world, Bob obtained CPA certification and accumulated four years of audit and tax experience with such "Big Four" CPA firms as McGladrey & Pullen, Ernst & Young, and Deloitte & Touche. Bob oversees the financial well-being of the Company and all aspects of accounting and finance, administration, and human resources functions. He develops and manages banking/vendor relationships, financial reports, budgets, and internal control systems. Bob is also in charge of investor relations and capital strategies to support the company's growth. Bob received his B.S. Degree in Business Administration from University of Iowa.

Charles Kao

Charles Kao was appointed to Iveda's Advisory Board in October 2019. Charles' expertise in cloud video surveillance, IoT technologies and overall experience as a technology entrepreneur is invaluable to Iveda as its technologies continue to evolve toward digital transformation globally. Established in 2008, Charles is the co-founder of ThroughTek Co., Ltd. (TUTK), a leading IoT (Internet of Things) total solution provider for cloud connection platform. He was General Manager at Wuunet Technology (ThroughTek subsidiary), an innovative IoT technology company for the Smart Home industry. He was then the General Manager of Phind Corporation, a software development company specializing in cloud computing, client-server, and iOS/Android app. In 2018, Charles went back to ThroughTek as a consultant, while invested in some emerging technology companies in Taiwan. Charles received his B.S. Degree in MIS/Computer Science at Bond University in Australia.

David Ly - CEO, Chairman, Founder

David Ly is the visionary leader and founder of Iveda. David has served as CEO and Chairman of the Board of Directors since the Company's inception. He also served as President until February 2014. David has over 20 years of experience in wireless data, cellular, IT, and cloud video surveillance. He was only 27 years old when he founded the Company in 2003 and has become a dynamic leader, building a pioneering cloud video hosting and real-time surveillance infrastructure. David's major accomplishments include raising over $12 million through angel investors, building an enterprise-class cloud video and IoT platforms, taking the company public, and acquiring a security technology company in Taiwan, positioning Iveda for global growth. David is also responsible for securing the Company's U.S. and international accounts and forging strategic partnerships with large organizations. Prior to founding the company, David had a successful career in sales and applications engineering. He held positions with several major corporations, including Applications Engineer at Metricom, Inc., Corporate Sales at Nextel Communications, Market Manager at Door To Door Storage, and B2B Sales Manager at T-Mobile USA. While at T-Mobile, David earned the President's Club Top Salesman Award. David's experience in sales and marketing and his clear vision of video surveillance through cloud computing have been invaluable to the Company's success. He served in numerous technology, community, and law enforcement Boards of Directors and Advisory Boards. David received his B.S. Degree in Civil Engineering with a Minor in International Business from San Francisco State University in California.

Dr. Benjamin Tran

Dr. Benjamin Tran was appointed to Iveda's Advisory Board in early 2021 as Senior Advisor. He has been the corporate strategist, investor, and financial partner in the formation and growth of several emerging growth companies. As president of United System Capital (USC), Benjamin specializes in cross-border M&A advisory, private equity, and merchant banking. Prior to USC, he served as president of an Asia-based JV with Brean Murray Carret & Co., a New York-based investment bank that has transacted over 100 IPOs/APOs/SPACs and raised over $4B for U.S. and Asian companies. Benjamin spearheaded the organization to formulate a multi-functional investment banking service for emerging growth companies via globalization strategies. Benjamin has been seasoned international consultant providing corporate development and interim senior management to SMEs in Silicon Valley and Asia Pacific region. He also served as a board director, CFO, corporate strategist, and executive advisor for several distressed companies, managing turn-around situations. As a Silicon Valley high-tech veteran, Benjamin brings over 20 years of diversified experience including mergers and acquisitions, venture management, strategic marketing and international business development. Prior to his investment and corporate advisory career, Benjamin worked for technology leaders including Micron Technology, Fujitsu Microelectronics, Mitsubishi Electric America, Philips Semiconductors, holding various senior technical and marketing management positions. Benjamin received his MBA and PhD in Business Administration from the University of Phoenix and his BS and MS in Electrical Engineering from San Jose State University in California.

Dr. Eric Chen

Dr. Eric Chen was appointed to Iveda's Advisory Board in October 2013. Eric's expertise in Cloud Storage and Data Services Technology for large-scale cloud data management will provide Iveda with valuable guidance and perspective as the Company builds out its cloud video platform and storage infrastructure to support market scalability. His recent experience in large-scale video surveillance projects in China will bolster Iveda's insights regarding best practices for ‘big data' storage architecture. Eric is the founder and chief executive officer of ProphetStor Data Services, Inc., a California-based company that provides elastic business data service solutions, including user-friendly and cost-effective storage capabilities for Cloud Computing and Big Data. Iveda will leverage the proprietary technology from ProphetStor in building its state-of-the-art storage solution for Cloud Video Hosting. From 2000 to 2012, Eric served as vice president and general manager of FalconStor Software, Inc., where he was responsible for operations, research and development, marketing and sales in the Asia Pacific Region. Prior to joining FalconStor, he was a technical staff member at IBM Networking Systems in Research Triangle Park, North Carolina. Eric received his Ph.D. and M.S. Degree in Computer and Information Sciences from Ohio State University and his B.S. Degree in Electrical Engineering from National Taiwan University. He later became an Associate Professor at National Chung-Hsing University in Taiwan.

Dr. Joseph Lee

Dr. Joseph Lee was appointed to Iveda's Advisory Board in October 2013. Joseph brings an innovative mindset and expansive experience to the board. He will assess all aspects of Iveda's technology and guide its evolution to assure the utmost scalability and feasibility in current and future markets. His leadership within the Cloud Computing industry will assist Iveda in the development and effective marketing of strategic, technically robust solutions designed for adoption by major ‘cloud' providers with mass distribution capabilities. Joseph currently serves as chief technology officer at 21Vianet, the largest carrier-neutral Internet data center services provider in China, which provides hosting, managed network and cloud computing infrastructure services. Prior to that, he served as national technology officer for Microsoft China, was managing director of Optoelectronics Research Lab Institute at the Hong Kong Applied Science and Technology Research Institute and vice president of manufacturing and engineering at New Focus, Inc. Over the course of his career, he has held numerous management positions at Lucent Technologies, AT&T, EXXON Research and Engineering Lab and Owens Corning Fiberglass Research Center. Joseph completed his Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering at Iowa State University, his M.S. Degree in Electrical Engineering at State University of New York, and his B.S. Degree in Electrical Engineering at the National Chiao-tung University in Taiwan.

Greg Omi - CTO

Greg Omi joined Iveda as CTO in May 2021 He was an early seed investor in 2006 and served on Iveda's Board from 2011 to 2016. Greg has decades of experience as a software developer in the Computer Games Industry. He is responsible for shaping Iveda's technology roadmap, overseeing new technology development including a web-based dashboard to centrally manage information and functionalities for video surveillance systems, AI video search platform, and IoT smart devices. Greg specializes in writing engine and effects code, game objects and tools code, data compression and quantization. He has also written the firmware for a CD drive, RSA and MD5 code. Greg worked for Zynga as software architect from November 2009 to 2019, writing online games in Flash for Facebook (i.e., FarmVille). As a senior engineer, Greg joined the Auto Pilot Team at Tesla in 2019. Greg also worked at Monkey Gods, LLC, a video game developer, designing Facebook applications as a programmer, until Zynga bought the company. From October 2006 to January 2009, Greg worked at Flektor, Inc., focused on Flash 9 / Flex 2 / Action Script 3, C, XML and Ruby programming for a web application, including video and image processing. Flektor was acquired by FOX Interactive Media in 2007 while he was working there. From October 1996 to June 2006, Greg held the position of Senior Programmer with Naughty Dog, a computer game company, which was acquired by Sony Interactive Entertainment. He designed the rendering engines for the award-winning Crash Bandicoot 2, 3 and CTR for PlayStation 1, as well as the Jak and Daxter game series. Greg is credited as co-creator and co-developer of other iconic games including Crash Team Racing, Streetsports Baseball/Basketball, Jak II/3/X and many other published games.

Hang Shiau

Ing-Hang Shiau has been working very closely with the Iveda management team since the acquisition of Iveda Taiwan (fka MEGAsys) in 2010. Mr. Shiau co-founded Iveda Taiwan in 1991 and has since deployed multi-million dollar safe city projects in Taiwan and neighboring countries. He has 35 years of experience in security systems. With his many years of experience in the industry, Iveda relies on his relationships with contract manufacturers to deliver the best devices at the lowest price for our customers. Prior to Iveda Taiwan, Mr. Shiau spent most of his professional career at Panasonic Taiwan and he is currently a member of the Board of Directors at NTE, a Panasonic agency in Taiwan. Mr. Shiau received his B.S. Degree in Math from Soochow University in Taiwan.

Joe Farnsworth

Joseph Farnsworth was appointed to Iveda's Board in January 2010. Over the years, Joe has been a loyal supporter of Iveda, first as a customer, then as an investor (along with his family), and now a director. Joe has over 25 years of experience in the real estate industry. Since 1995, Joe has served as President and a director of Farnsworth Realty & Management Co., an Arizona based privately held real estate company. He has also served on the Board of Farnsworth Development, a closely held real estate developer, since 1995, and on the Board of Farnsworth Companies since 2008. From 1987 to 1991, Joe served as President of Farnsworth International, a real estate investment company based in Taipei, Taiwan, and from 1990 to 1995, Joe served as President of Alfred's International, a company with operations in China and Korea. He serves on the Board of Directors of Arizona Brain Food, an organization providing food to lower income school children, and is actively involved with the La Masita, a homeless shelter. He has previously served on the Board of Adjustment for the City of Mesa, Arizona, and also previously served on the City Planning and Zoning Board for the City of Mesa, Arizona. Among other professional experiences, qualifications, and skills, Joe has substantial knowledge of the usefulness of the Company's services in the real estate industry and has extensive contacts in the industry. In addition, Joe has extensive experience in managing companies, as well as a strong background in finance, all of which are vital to the overall success of the Company. Joe is a graduate of Brigham Young University with a B.S. in Real Estate Finance and is a licensed Arizona real estate broker.

Luz A. Berg - CMO, COO

Luz Berg joined Iveda in 2004, prior to its incorporation as the VP of Marketing. She was promoted to Senior VP of Operations & Marketing in 2007, and was further promoted to Chief Operating Officer and Chief Marketing Officer in 2009. With over 25 years of business experience in a variety of industries, Luz has a proven track record in building a startup company from the ground up. Since the Company's inception, she has been working alongside the CEO of Iveda, as a strong ally and partner, ensuring that the Company remains focused on its goals and that the founder's vision is realized. Luz manages the Company's day-to-day operations, formulating policies and procedures, and establishing processes. She has extensive experience in developing and implementing results-driven public relations and marketing communications plans for lead/sales generation, building brand, brand revitalization, and customer retention in a wide-range of industries. As Iveda grows, Luz will focus in marketing to support the Company's domestic and international growth, as well as support its investor relations efforts. Prior to Iveda, Luz served as the Director of Marketing at Cygnus Business Media, a B2B media company and at Penton Media, a 100 plus-year old technology B2B media company. She has also worked in the high-tech industry as Marketing Programs and Channel Marketing Manager at Metricom, Inc., a wide-area broadband wireless company, and Spectra-Physics Lasers/Newport (NASDAQ: NEWP), the first commercial laser company, as Marketing Communications Specialist. Luz started her professional career at Standard & Poor's while completing her degree. Luz received her B.A. Degree in Management from St. Mary's College in California.

Mo Bakheit

Mo Bakheit joined the Iveda team in 2022 and brings more than three decades of experience starting and running transformational technology companies. Born in Cairo, he spent his formative years living in Egypt, England, and Sudan. Since 2018 Bakheit has been a principal partner and infrastructure lead for MMGI, a security and risk consultancy focused on business intelligence and capture management. The company engaged clients focused on the $1 trillion U.S. Infrastructure Upgrade Fund. Before that, from 2016 to 2018, Bakheit was a managing partner and strategic alliances lead in the US/North America Office of the Middle East and Africa Security Consortium. He focused on next-generation Safe Smart Cities products and solutions. From 2012 to 2016 Bakheit was Middle East and North Africa Region (MENA) regional director for Everis Aerospace and Defense Solutions and Services, interfacing with transportation, military, security agencies, and infrastructure firms and developers. Prior to that, from 2009 to 2011, he was regional director with Proximex/TYCO overseeing the MENA region. There, he oversaw networking platforms for a variety of military and security partners. From 2006 to 2009, He served as Commercial Lead for the first Department of Homeland Security Accredited Safe Smart Cities Reference Architecture and Consortium, an initiative developed to provide defense, security, and sustainability of global Smart Cities. Bakheit, from 2002 to 2006, worked at Alacera, serving as commercial lead and V.P. of Strategic Alliances, Bakheit oversaw the creation of the Alacera International Consortium - Saudi (AICS), a group of defense and intelligence firms. Bakheit earned a B.A. Degree in Communications and Media Studies from The American University in Washington DC and later attended a postgraduate program in International Communications.

Richard Tsay

Richard Tsay has been working for Iveda since October 2011. Richard heads our product development team in Taiwan and has been instrumental in all Iveda's product introductions including our cloud-video hosting platform, intelligent search technology, and IoT technology. Richard also manages our deployments with our telco partners. His expertise working with various ODMs has been invaluable to Iveda as we constantly seek new devices enabled for our software. Richard held mid-management positions in companies in Taiwan including Motorola, Danger Inc./Microsoft, RFIC Technology Corp. and Tuntex Telecommunications Co., Ltd. He also held similar positions in companies in California including RFIC Integrated Corp., AROMA Electronics, and RF-Link Technology, Inc. Richard received his B.S. Degree in Electrical Engineering and Master's Degree in Interdisciplinary Telecommunications from the University of Colorado, Boulder, and his Master's Degree in Business Administration at International Technology University in San Jose,CA.

Robert Derks

Robert Derks has been a member of Iveda's Advisory Board since October 2013, but has been working with Iveda as a consultant since 2011. Bob is an early "seed" investor in Iveda. He is the founder, and served as the chief executive officer, of Long Canyon Coal LLC, where he developed and executed a strategic plan for coal properties in Virginia and Kentucky based on a low-fixed-cost business model. Since 2005, Bob has been a member of the board of directors of WOW Energy Inc., which develops renewable energy and environmental projects with patented technology. In 2001, he joined Carmeuse North America, a major lime producer with over $500 million in annual revenue, as president and chief executive officer. He later served as president of its board of directors for several years. He currently serves on the board of directors of Chieftain Sand and Proppant. Bob graduated magna cum laude from Central Michigan University with a B.S. Degree in Marketing and Economics and received an MBA from Pepperdine University.

Robert Gillen

Robert Gillen has been a long-time supporter of Iveda as an investor. He is president of the Law Offices of Robert D. Gillen, Ltd., a law firm assisting clients with domestic and international planning, with offices in Scottsdale, Arizona and Naperville, Illinois. Gillen is an international speaker and has extensive experience in advising businesses and professionals on tax and legal matters. Gillen has been active in the cellular industry since its inception and has assisted in the development of the cellular network. Gillen has served on various boards of directors and advisory committees for growing companies, as well as donating his time and expertise on not-for-profit boards. Gillen has also authored many articles on business, tax, and legal matters. Gillen graduated from the University of Illinois with a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration and from IIT Chicago Kent College of Law with a Juris Doctor Degree with Honors.

Sam Chen

Sam Chen joined Iveda in December 2018. Prior to joining Iveda, Sam managed manufacturing companies in Taiwan that generated multi-million dollars (USD) in annual revenue. With over 30 years of contract manufacturing experience in a variety of industry segments, Sam is experienced in industry standard manufacturing, purchasing and engineering processes, and a hands-on executive involved in product development processes, from Marketing Requirement Document (MRD), Process Verification Testing (PVT), Design Verification Testing (DVT), Product Mass Production (MP), and customer final product delivery. Sam's product expertise includes PC mother boards and system integration solution products. Since 2009, Sam has dedicated his time on emerging technologies including IoT, IIoT, M2M, and smart industrial power panel, catering to global tier one telco and MSO. In recent years, Sam has delivered IoT Smart Home devices to global power utilities. Sam received his B.S. Degree in Engineering at the Westlake Industry Engineering College in Taiwan.

Sid Sung - President

Sid Sung joined Iveda in January 2020. Sung's expertise spans high-growth verticals such as home automation, security products, energy management, Machine to Machine (M2M), industrial IoT (IIoT), smart cities and broadband access technologies. For more than 25 years, Sung has been leading successful, high-visibility technology projects for telecommunications companies and emerging service providers. He has been an advocate and a leader in the IoT revolution. Sung was President at People Power China from 2017 until joining Iveda and has also been on the board of directors since 2015. Since 2014, Sung has also been board advisor of Twoway Communications, focusing on the development and deployment of IoT, M2M, smart city/community and connected home solutions. Sung cofounded Connected IO in 2013 and served as COO until 2017. The company specializes in M2M applications. Previously, Sung was Vice President at Lite-On Technology from 2012 to 2013, where he managed IoT solutions for connected home and M2M for IIoT. Sung participated in global utility smart grid trial programs with next-generation energy products including multiple RF frequency gateways and sensors, guiding them to successful development and deployment. From 2007 to 2010, Sung was General Manager for SMC Networks. As General Manager, he spearheaded many initiatives in North America's telecommunications broadband expansion with ACS TR69 deployment. Starting with delivering his first cloud-based solution for Sprint Canada in 2003, Sung continued to succeed in delivering broadband-enabled applications (BBEA) for home security service providers, including 4Home (acquired by Motorola) and uControl (merged with iControl). During his tenure, Sung led revenue growth from $24M to $100M. In 1994, Sung founded a telecommunications equipment design and manufacturing company Alpha Telecom to focus on ISDN CPE solutions. As Chief Executive Officer, he forged partnerships and developed solutions for global telecommunications equipment manufacturing (TEM) companies including Alcatel-Lucent, Nortel and Siemens. Sid earned his B.S. Degree in Atmospheric Science at National Taiwan University and his Master's Degree in Electrical Engineering at the University of Alabama Huntsville.
