LEONARDOBORRAZA

I was born in the tiny island nation of Cuba in the proletariat and somewhat inconsequential small-town of Sagua La Grande, in the province of Las Villas. Shortly after I was born, my father (Leonardo Sr.) fled the oppressive, despotic communist country on a small boat and sought political asylum in the United States. After about two years of living in the states, my father initiated the legal process that would allow my mother (Elvira) and I to immigrate to America... After immigrating to the States, I lived with my parents in New Jersey for a short time. My parents then moved to South Florida, where I have lived most of my life; I attended elementary school (Flamingo Elementary), middle school (Miami Springs Middle School), and high school (Miami Springs Sr. High School) in the city of Hialeah.
