In September 2021, LNG NL inked a historic partnership and equity agreement with the Miawpukek First Nation. Located at Conne River on the south coast of the island of Newfoundland, Miawpukek's involvement with LNG NL has been endorsed nationally by the First Nations Major Projects Coalition (FNMPC). Through its majority owned joint venture company, Horizon Maritime Services, the Miawpukek will see active participation in the project.
