Jean-Pierre Bertlin Sargusingh, 26, passed away on September 1, 2020 in Houston, Texas. He is survived by his parents; sister, Mia Sargusingh; grandmothers Dinah Sargusingh and Miriam Arroyo; uncles Imran Sargusingh and Marcos Mercado, and numerous family members and friends. He earned an associates degree in Psychology from Manchester Community College. He had a passion for helping people, and loved animals and eating ice cream. Lucian Sargusingh is the visionary for this venture and will be primary day-to-day business manager. Lucian is a natural host and leader who loves to feed and entertain people. He also has a passion for working for himself and building a legacy for his family. His experience in hospitality started decades ago with a position at Chile's restaurant and in the kitchens of hospice care centers in Connecticut. He fed his passion for entering the hospitality industry by taking several courses at Manchester Community College in food preparation and management. He exhibited his leadership ability by founding and managing Lucian's United Football Club in Hartford, CT which operated for several years before he relocated to Houston, TX. He tested his love for entertainment as a promoter for up and coming musician's, acquiring new business and coordinating events throughout North and South America, and the Caribbean.. His family obligations required him to dedicate himself to more traditional employment but now the family is at a point where he can resume the pursuit of his dreams.
Mia Sargusingh, Lucian and Miriam's daughter, is a student at the University of Texas at Dallas studying biomedical engineering and criminology. She is also a natural leader, having been elected to her sorority's leadership board in her first year and continuing to even being President of her Chapter. An entrepreneur in her own right, Mia is an independent Professional Wrestler who goes by the ring name M. J. Santana
Miriam Sargusingh, Lucian's wife, will be the other primary day-to-day manager. She is an engineer currently employed at the NASA Johnson Space Center. She graduated from Yale University with a Chemical Engineering degree and holds a Masters Degree in Mechanical Engineering. Miriam has near a decade's worth of experience with managing multimillion dollar budgets with projects ranging from facility build-outs to development of complex systems for human exploration. She has experience with managing teams of 5-30 people, including human resources, day to day operational management, training, and mentoring. Miriam also has a passion for healthy living. Once a manager of a Nature Food Center, she oversaw the transition of the store to a General Nutrition Center (GNC) and learned the basis for nutritional living. As a vegetarian, she has particular insight into the parts of Caribbean culture that is focused on natural plant-based cuisines.
