ARIANNE PARKINSON

Arianne Parkinson is a dynamic and creative Teacher of Mathematics, who has extensive experience of the International Baccalaureate Middle Years Programme, Diploma Programme, and the British curriculum. She has taught in schools with diverse student cohorts, and currently teaches in an International School in the south of Spain. She is a Pastoral Leader who leads both teachers and students, monitors academic performance and behaviour, and supports students throughout their learning experience. She has a good rapport with her students; she is caring with a good sense of humour. Arianne grew up in Yorkshire, and read Mathematics and English Literature at the University of Glasgow. She is a talented violinist who regularly performs with local string ensembles.

LAETITIA CHANEAC-KNIGHT

Laetitia Chanéac-Knight is an international school teacher, writer, examiner and linguist. She has been teaching French, English and Spanish to teenagers for over 20 years. She also collaborated in textbook publications for Hodder Education and Clé International. She currently works in Sotogrande International School in Spain and is a senior examiner for the International Baccalaureate. During her career, she has accompanied several school groups on trips at home and abroad and led extracurricular activities. She is excited about running the first Math Camp close to her home region and making students discover this wonderful place, its nature and culture. She will be offering optional French tuition to students at the camp at beginner, intermediate or advanced level

Nicolas Chaix

Nicolas Chaix is co-founder of the Association Vacances Internationales and native of the Drôme region. He will be our technical supervisor during the math camp in charge of logistics.

TIMOTHY KNIGHT

Job Titles:

Timothy Knight has been working in international schools for the last 25 years as a Mathematics teacher and administrator. He is known for both his enthusiasm for and knowledge of Mathematics, and a teacher who wants as many students to feel the same excitement for the subject as he does. Tim has also worked in the corporate world for 8 years as a curriculum designer, course developer and administrator of online Mathematics courses. Tim is passionate about international education and in particular the IB diploma. He has been a senior Mathematics examiner for the IB, and exam author, for over fifteen years. Tim grew up in Burnley in the United Kingdom, and studied mathematics at Oxford University.
