Aimee McFarlan earned her undergraduate degree in Literature with a Black American Studies minor from the University of Delaware in 1992. Always socially conscious and interested in helping others, she decided to pursue a career in behavioral health through the completion of the Master's in Social Work program at Delaware State University. Aimee gained her initial experience in behavioral health during ten years at an inpatient setting peforming assessments and intake services.
Aimee works with children/adolescents over the age of 12 and adults. She is comfortable working with a wide range of behavioral health issues including anxiety/panic disorders, depression, bipolar disorders, schizophrenia, grief and loss, and pre/post partum depression. Aimee utilizes a variety of therapeutic techniques and interventions including stress reduction, relaxation exercises, mindfulness, limit setting, and communication skill building.
Ashley Kraemer obtained her Master's Degree in Art Therapy and Counseling at Eastern Virginia Medical School, a CAAHEP accredited program, in Norfolk, Virginia. Her Master's of Science Capstone focus was a heuristic study working through unresolved bereavement through fiber arts and written reflections.
As an Art Therapist, Ashley embraces an integrative approach of both Art therapy and verbal psychotherapy, meeting the different needs of each individual. Ashley believes in each individual's strengths and culture, in which she enjoys working with clients to explore, discover, and rediscover these areas to overcome challenges and to achieve a greater sense of well-being.
Ashley's clinical work experience includes facilitating trauma-informed therapy services for both in-patient and out-patient programs within a psychiatric hospital setting, in addition to individuals receiving palliative care and those diagnosed with chronic medical conditions, at-risk youth populations, and an array of behavioral concerns for children with residential placement. Ashley works across the spectrum of ages and populations, from child to geriatric.

Charis Foraker is a Doctor of Nursing Practice and Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner.She completed her undergraduate degree with Wilmington University and immediately began working at a psychiatric hospital where her passion for mental health inspired her to pursue further education in the field.Charis continued as a full-time student at the University of Delaware while working as a psychiatric nurse in a variety of mental health settings.
Chris is a graduate of Middlebury College and received a Masters in Clinical Psychology from the University of Delaware. He has extensive experience across a range of settings, the most recent of which have been a Community Mental Health Center and the Intensive Outpatient Programs at the Rockford Center. Currently, he sees adults for a variety of problems including anxiety, depression, and anger issues. He has extensive experience with Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD) and co-occurring mental health and substance abuse disorders.
Cynthia Edwards received her Doctorate Degree in Clinical Psychology and her Master's Degree in Counseling Psychology from Immaculata University. She is a Licensed Professional Counselor of Mental Health, a Nationally Certified Counselor by NBCC (National Board of Certified Counselors) and is certified in EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization Reprocessing) by EMDRIA (EMDR International Association). Cynthia Edwards provides assessment and treatment to individuals (adults, adolescents) and specializes in anxiety/stress, including post-traumatic stress disorder, depression/other mood disorders, including bipolar disorder, serious mental health problems including self-injury, suicidal thoughts/attempts, hospitalizations, chronic/acute illness, women's issues, relationship issues including separation/divorce, life transitions, work/career concerns. She worked for many years as a registered nurse in critical care and emergency room hospital units.
Dora Temple earned a degree in social work and psychology from Salisbury State University. Several years later, she earned her Master's in Social Work from Delaware State University. Her passion in social work has been the welfare of children, leading her to have a special interest in the area of sexual abuse against children. After spending 23 years in child welfare, she worked in outpatient and inpatient mental health setting providing care to adolescents and adults. Her most recent experience has been in the field of medical social work with children and their families.
Dora works with adolescents and adults with a range of behavioral health issues. She is also available to help those struggling with issues around sexual abuse as children, trauma, medical conditions and grief and loss.

Dr. Daniel Weintraub is a licensed clinical psychologist in Delaware. He earned his doctorate in Counseling Psychology from Temple University. Dr. Weintraub has extensive clinical experience that includes working in psychiatric hospitals, residential group homes, juvenile corrections, university counseling center and youth diagnostic center. He is a long time member of the American Psychological Association and Delaware Psychological Association.
Currently, Dr. Weintraub conducts individual and couples psychotherapy at MidAtlantic. His areas of interest and expertise include assessment, behavior therapy, cognitive behavior therapy, and reality therapy with aspects of mindfulness. He works with adolescents and adults with issues of depression, anxiety, grief and loss, developmental disability, severe mental illness, life transitions, autism spectrum disorder and aging. He specifically tailors his therapeutic approach to best meet the needs and desires of each individual.

Dr. Jolyn Pinamonti is a licensed clinical psychologist with a specialization in early childhood. She obtained her B.A. in psychology from Le Moyne College in Syracuse, NY. She attended Forest Institute of Professional Psychology in Springfield, Missouri for graduate school and received her doctorate of psychology from the Wright Institute in Berkeley, California. Her internship focused on working with children and adolescents at Family Service and Guidance Center in Topeka, Kansas. She joins MABH following a two year post-doctoral fellowship at Nemours/AI duPont Hospital for Children in Wilmington as their early childhood fellow. At Mid-Atlantic, she primarily conducts psychological and developmental testing for the early childhood (0-8) age range, as well as Parent-Child Interactive Therapy (PCIT).
Dr. Kathleen Cherry is a licensed Psychologist in Delaware. At Mid-Atlantic, Dr. Cherry's roles include the Wilmington Site Supervisor and the Director of Assessment and Training. Current areas of clinical works primarily involve psychological assessment and supervision of doctoral students, doctoral interns, and post-doctoral residents. Additionally, Dr. Cherry sees families for Parent-Child Interaction Therapy (PCIT), an evidenced-based treatment approach for young children (ages 2-7) with emotional and behavioral difficulties.
Dr. Cherry completed her post-doctoral residency at Mid-Atlantic Behavioral Health. She is a graduate of an American Psychological Association (APA) approved program at Immaculata University, where she completed her Doctorate in Clinical Psychology (Psy.D.). She completed her doctoral internship through the Delaware Division of Prevention and Behavioral Health/Terry Children's Center. She also has a Masters of Education in Counseling Psychology from Temple University and Bachelor of Arts in Clinical Psychology from Covenant College. Dr. Cherry's clinical specializations include comprehensive psychological assessment in both inpatient and outpatient settings, treatment, and supervision of doctoral students. Areas of treatment focus include Depression, Anxiety, Bipolar Disorder, Autism Spectrum Disorders (ASD), Post-Traumatic Stress, Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD) and Oppositional Defiant Disorder. Dr. Cherry has state certifications in Parent-Child Interaction Therapy (PCIT), evidenced-based treatment approach for young children (ages 2-7) with emotional and behavioral difficulties, and Trauma Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF CBT), an evidence based treatment approach for youth with trauma reaction symptoms. Dr. Michael Considine earned his doctorate at Chestnut Hill College in Philadelphia, PA and his Master's Degree from Georgian Court College Graduate School in Lakewood, NJ. He is also a certified school psychologist in the state of New Jersey.
Dr. Considine has had a wide variety of experience that includes writing articles, teaching, and mental health treatment. In addition to his outpatient counseling experience for over 20 years, he has also worked at inpatient settings at various facilities in New Jersey and Pennsylvania.
Dr. Considine works with teenagers, adults, couples, and families with a wide range of emotional and behavioral issues. His strengths include incorporating skills of Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT) in his clinical work. He is also well versed in substance abuse issues and facilitates several groups per week which focus on recovery.
Eileen Starr is a PhD and Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW). She received her PhD and Master's Degree in clinical social work from Widener University in Chester, PA. A Delaware native, Dr. Starr is currently an Assistant Professor at Metropolitan State University-Denver. She is currently teaching clinical practice in the graduate school of social work. She works part-time at Mid-Atlantic BH via Tele-health and often sees her clients in person when she returns home. Eileen's clinical specialty is school-aged children, adolescents, and transitional aged youth and their families (as needed). Prior to accepting the faculty position at MSU-Denver, Dr. Starr developed and supervised the School Based Therapy, summer, and after-school programs for Upper Bay Counseling and Support Service in Cecil and Harford County Maryland.
Eileen is behavioral in her clinical work, describing her style as "very interactive in partnership with her clients & families to help them meet their goals established in therapy." She believes a reciprocal therapeutic relationship cultivates the best possible outcomes in her patients.

Ellin Wade is a Registered Nurse and board-certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner with prescriptive authority, certified to treat children through adults. She completed her undergraduate degree, graduate degree, and training through Vanderbilt University in Nashville, TN. Ellin has experience in a variety of settings, including adult inpatient psychiatry, pediatric residential treatment centers, and pediatric/adult outpatient psychiatry. Previous work experience includes psychiatric evaluations, treatment planning, medication management, individual therapy, group therapy, as well as program development.
Heather Martin is an Advance Practice Nurse who completed her undergraduate degree with the University of Delaware and initially began her career as a Family Nurse Practitioner with her first graduated degree from Wilmington University.
Heather immediately began providing care to challenging patients with multiple medical and mental health complications. This led her to obtain a second graduate degree from Vanderbilt University and concentrate her practice to mental health. She is currently credentialed with American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC) as a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner.
Heather is inspired by her patients and committed to providing excellent mental health care with compassion and insight. She attempts to see the whole picture of each individual and believes improvement is possible with the application of effective tools, resources and the client's motivation toward wellness.
Dr. Jamie DiOrio is a Licensed Psychologist in the State of Delaware. Dr. DiOrio earned her Doctoral and Master of Arts degrees in Clinical Psychology from Immaculata University. She earned her Bachelor of Arts degree in Clinical/Counseling Psychology from The College of New Jersey. Dr. DiOrio has diverse outpatient clinical experience conducting therapy and assessments with children, adolescents, and adults. She has experience practicing in a variety of mental health settings including a private practice, community mental health clinic, inpatient hospital, as well as a treatment facility for substance use and co-occurring disorders. Dr. DiOrio has experience providing both individual and group psychotherapy.
Dr. DiOrio's specialties include general mental health, depression, anxiety/panic, trauma, dissociation, substance use, and co-occurring disorders. Dr. DiOrio is also trained in Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT), which are evidence-based treatments for trauma and posttraumatic stress. Dr. DiOrio tailors her therapeutic approach to the individual needs of each patient. She takes an integrated approach to therapy by incorporating psychodynamic, cognitive-behavioral, and acceptance/mindfulness-based techniques.

Dr. Pierce earned her doctoral degree in Clinical Psychology from Immaculata University. She holds a Master's of Arts degree in Psychology and Education from Columbia University in New York. Dr. Pierce has diverse outpatient clinical experience doing therapy and assessment with children, adolescents, adults, families, and couples in a variety of mental health settings. She also has inpatient experience doing psychological testing for the Rockford Center and completed training at Christiana Hospital's adult partial program. Currently, Dr. Pierce sees patients of all ages.
Her specialties include treating issues related to general mental health, trauma, depression and mood, anxiety, LGBT issues, family/relational issues, grief counseling, life transitions, and couples work. Dr. Pierce takes an integrated approach to her therapy utilizing psychodynamic, interpersonal, and cobnitive behavioral therapy (CBT) methods. Overall, Dr. Pierce likes to tailor her therapeutic approach to the individual needs of the patient.

Kristin David is a Registered Nurse and Certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner with prescriptive authority. She received her Bachelor of Science in Nursing at West Chester University and then earned her Master's of Science in Nursing at Drexel University. Kristin has inpatient experience working as a registered nurse on multiple psychiatric treatment units including acute adult psychiatric, alcohol and drug detox, geriatric, and adolescent.
Kylee obtained her undergraduate degree at Elizabethtown College and her Master's degree in Social Work from Widener University. Her previous experience includes many years working on an inpatient level at the Rockford Center as both a social worker and Director of Social Services as well as with outpatient therapy in community mental health clinics.
She has experience assisting individuals with bipolar disorder, substance use, depression, anxiety, anger management issues, schizophrenia and trauma. Kylee utilizes a variety of therapeutic techniques and interventions that are designed to meet each individual's needs. Kylee uses concepts from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Reality Therapy, communication skill building, boundary setting, stress reduction/relaxation techniques, and Mindfulness.
Kylee works with adolescents and adults to identify, challenge, and reach their ultimate goals in treatment.
I'm a licensed Clinical Social Worker with over 17 years of experience working as a therapist and providing services to multi-cultural populations within the community. I have worked with clients with a wide range of concerns including substance abuse issues, depression, anxiety, relationship issues, parenting problems, and ADHD to name a few. I also helped many people who have experienced physical trauma or emotional abuse.
Miles Leon earned his undergraduate degree from the University of Maryland, College Park then continued to receive his Master's degree at the University of Maryland, Baltimore, School of Social Work. He has a wide variety of experience within inpatient as well as outpatient settings providing individual and group therapy for adults, performing clinical supervision, case management, risk assessment, and treatment planning.
Miles works with adolescents, adults, couples, and families. He has experience assisting individuals with anxiety, depression, bipolar disorder, personality disorders, and Schizophrenia. Miles utilizes concepts from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, as well as, mindfulness and relaxation exercises in an effort to assist with the acquisition of constructive thought processes, productive communication techniques, and improved capacities to manage anger and stress and respond to grief and loss. Miles brings passion, commitment, and a genuine belief that he can help those experiencing all types of chronic or acute mental health issues.
