Higher-resolution renders and the ability to capture a wider range of movements are key ongoing goals, as are accessibility, privacy, and data protection. We continue to ask ourselves how we can develop this tool and the intellectual focus of the mv lab to be valuable to and usable by a diversity of bodies and in a wider range of research applications. In seeking to study a variety of movement signatures, we also strive to protect the privacy and data of our contributors by adhering closely to Institutional Review Board guidelines and by engaging in discussions of data privacy in the fields of media studies, Digital Humanities, and machine learning...
