My career initially took me to Zurich Insurance Group for 14 years, where I served as CEO of a Swiss legal protection insurance company, CEO of the international life insurance business and CEO of the centrally managed global Group units (New York)... Later, in a further CEO role, I built up an insurance group according to Sharia principles for an investment bank in the Middle East (Gulf States/GCC - Bahrain, UAE, Qatar, Kuwait), before I moved into the banking sector and acted as Global Head Life Insurance in the Wealth Management division at UBS Group for 5 years... Subsequently, I assumed responsibility as CEO Emerging Markets on the Executive Board of a leading financial services provider listed in South Africa, affiliated with the Marsh & McLennan Group, where I managed all operations of the conglomerate (operations, restructuring & expansion) throughout Africa.
