Medium-sized, the Katahdin breed's coats come in different textures and colors. They are low maintenance, hardy, and adapt well to many climates. Popular traits include their quality as a meat sheep, excellent mothering traits (with an average of 2 lambs/gestation), and do not require shearing, saving time, and labor... North Elkhorn Farm breeds and raises pasture-fed Katahdin Ewes and Lambs in Lexington, Kentucky. Our Ewes lambs are for sale as breeding stock in various colors and sizes or meat that can be processed on or off-site to USDA standards.
