Dr. Shauna Gauthier was born and raised in Vermont. She received her undergraduate degree at the University of Vermont and earned a Doctor of Dental Medicine (DMD) degree at the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey. She then went on to complete a residency in Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery at Woodhull Medical Center in Brooklyn, New York, which included training in general surgery, medicine, and general anesthesia. Dr. Gauthier Is Board Certified by the American Board of Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery. The American Board of Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery evaluates a specialist and ensures that they have the requisite training, education, knowledge and experience that are needed to provide Dr. Gauthier's areas of expertise include wisdom teeth removal, general anesthesia and intravenous anesthesia, oral pathology, and dental infections.
