Working alongside governments and civic-minded organizations of all sizes, we provide data expertise to enhance decision-making, drive innovation, optimize public and civic services, and address society's most pressing challenges... Open North was founded in 2011 in Montreal as a small not-for-profit organization specializing in open data and civic technology. Over the past decade, we have grown and evolved to respond to the rapidly changing landscape of cities, smart technology, software, and the global open data movement. We have built digital tools, provided support to governments at all levels, and produced extensive research.
