PCMA was founded in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, as the Professional Convention Management Association and previously operated from Birmingham, Alabama. Our annual signature event, CONVENING LEADERS, was first held in 1956, and PCMA formally incorporated as a non-profit in 1958. We moved our headquarters to Chicago in 2000... PCMA is committed to delivering inspiring executive-level education, creating community experiences, and devising omnichannel opportunities to collaborate and network across the APAC, EMEA, and LATAM region(s)... PCMA was founded in 1957 and the PCMA Foundation was founded in 1985 to support the mission of PCMA through scholarships, research, education and critical projects for our industry, our profession and our future.
