PPMA - Key Persons
Maria Montessori was an Italian physician and educator, a noted humanitarian and devout Catholic best known for the philosophy of education, which bears her name. Her educational method is in use today in public and private schools worldwide. Maria Montessori was born in Chiaravalle, Italy, on August 31, 1870.
Ms. Amy Mahagan is the Center Director of PPMA and holds the Texas Director's Certification. She comes from over 20 years of childcare experience including experiences in preschool administration and within the classroom as a lead teacher.
Ms. Amy sees children as individuals who are working to find the ability to control or express the big emotions within themselves. She enjoys helping them find and utilize the words to communicate their wants or needs. She believes early education provides a necessary foundation that children will carry into adulthood.
Ms. Natasha Jamal is the Owner and Executive Director of Preston Park Montessori Academy. Natasha holds the American Montessori Society Administration Certification and brings years of experience in Montessori Administration along with extensive experience as a Montessori Director. Natasha believes that children find a strong passion for learning through a nurturing environment that promotes independence. Natasha has a daily active presence in the operations of PPMA.
Ms. Natasha is a mother of two children who also attend Preston Park Montessori Academy and brings the perspective of a parent in all decision-making.
