I completed residency training in Psychiatry at The Mount Sinai Hospital in New York where I am now an assistant clinical professor working in the emergency room setting. Prior to training in Psychiatry, I did residency training in Internal Medicine at the Mount Sinai Hospital. I graduated medical school at the Sackler School of Medicine where researched and published in the fields of Cardiology and Urology; I received an honorable mention in the Annual Sackler Research Symposium. I received my undergraduate education at Emory University where I majored in Neuroscience and Behavioral Biology and spent time researching the neurological basis of memory formation... Dr. Shimiaie is a psychiatrist in New York City offering treatment for a range of mental health issues using psychotherapy and psychiatric medications.
