Alice Burden

Alice graduated from London Metropolitan University with a degree in English Literature and Education. She was a tutor for three years before joining Lionheart Tuition as a Client Manager. Alice uses her training and expertise to ensure that each child is placed with the correct tutor for their particular needs. Alice is your first point of contact for all existing and new tuition related matters. Alice also writes about childcare and education and is a published author.

Blythe Hall

Holly Newman

Job Titles:
  • Office Manager
Upon completing her History of Art degree at University College London, Holly worked as a Client Relationship Manager at family members' club, Maggie and Rose. Holly joined the Lionheart Education team in 2014.

Kate Cullinan

Job Titles:

With a degree in English from Trinity Hall, Cambridge and professional experience within both the adult learning and education sectors, Mrs Cullinan manages Lionheart School. In addition to her overall responsibilities for the direction of the school, she particularly focuses on onward transitions with an emphasis on more complex situations where education has been disrupted or has broken down due to a variety of factors. Mrs Cullinan is also the School's Examinations Officer.

Keith Pusey

Keith Pusey was a Head of Department at Wellington College and at Winchester College where he subsequently became Director of Studies and Director of Admissions. An experienced examiner and an ISI inspector, Keith Pusey has had the opportunity to look at the work of many of the leading schools in the UK. He has also taken a strong interest in International education across all continents including symposia in the US and Singapore, educational foundations in Colombia and Malaysia and educational provision in China.

Kirsten Crosby

After graduating from Brunel University with a degree in History, Kirsten worked as an administrator and project manager for an international telecommunications company before training as a secondary teacher in history. Upon gaining qualified teacher status, she worked in a top Sixth Form College as a teacher, tutor, skills manager and second in department for nearly 10 years. She has worked as an examiner for AQA and Edexcel and as a tutor for children studying 11+, common entrance, GCSE, A levels and LNAT tests. In addition she provided the legal educational requirements for children in the film and television industry, those excluded and removed from mainstream school and ran a successful small business.

Lisa Jain

Lisa is a chartered accountant with over 20 years experience working for companies including Deutsche Bank AG and Salomon Brothers International. As our Accounts Manager, Lisa is the first point of contact for all billing and payment enquiries.

Oliver Gilsenan - Managing Director

Oliver grew up and was educated in Winchester before joining Lionheart Tuition in 2005 as a senior tutor whilst finishing his 4th year of business school. In 2007, Oliver became School Director of Lionheart School, which he developed to provide a completely bespoke education to a limited number of students on a full time basis, as well as academic and revision courses for students during school holidays In 2012, Oliver took over as Managing Director of Lionheart Education. He remains the first point of contact for all questions regarding courses and tailored education.

Philip Fawkes

Philip Fawkes has been a Headmaster of five prep schools. Having taught A-level History and Politics at Embley Park School (now the Hampshire Collegiate School), he was appointed Head of the newly established Junior School in 1986. From there he took on the challenge of revolutionising Lathallan School in Aberdeenshire, a school that was on the brink of closure. He left in 1997 have trebled the roll and turned the school into the largest prep school in Scotland. Philip was subsequently appointed Head of Twyford, a highly regarded academic preparatory school and a feeder for Winchester College. In 2002, he took a different path as Head of Bruern Abbey, a unique preparatory school preparing bright children with learning difficulties for mainstream secondary education, including Winchester College, Rugby, Charterhouse and Tonbridge. Philip retired from Headship, after twenty-five years, in July 2012 and is now works for us as a senior consultant, specialising in helping children with dyslexia and dyspraxia.

Rupert Syme

Rupert's relationship with Lionheart Education began at the age of 12 when he moved to the UK from the Turks & Caicos. He received top class tuition and school placement advice from Lionheart, which he believes completely changed the course of his life. Having secured a place at Eton, Rupert thrived. Upon completing his education, he was determined to provide the opportunities for other children that had been offered to him. He returned to Lionheart Education as a tutor whilst training in Psychometric Assessment and Education and eventually became Managing Director in 2002 and Chairman in 2012.

Victoria Udall

Victoria Udall is our Director of Higher Education. Whilst studying Social and Political Sciences at Cambridge University, Victoria discovered a passion for educational psychology, a subject that she focused on in her final year. Having gained a first class degree, she trained and worked as a family law barrister. During her time at law school, she tutored students in A Levels and university applications, which reignited an interest education and the psychological triggers that allow young people to fulfil their potential. In 2011, Victoria decided to pursue a full time career in education at Lionheart Consulting. Over the years, Victoria has become an expert in university applications and the UCAS process. She is highly experienced in Oxbridge applications and interviews.
