I had a hard time learning to read due to Dyslexia. The author Raina Telgemeir spoke to me in her books. As a comic novel, I was able to really see a story happen while not yet on my grade level. She single handedly gave the ability to love reading... I immediately resonated with the character Callie. Callie introduced me to backstage drama before the opportunities in school were provided to me. From that point on, drama and theatre enticed me like no other interest.
