Ailie MacAdam is president of Bechtel's Mining & Metals global business unit. Based in Brisbane, Australia, she is responsible for all aspects of the business unit's worldwide portfolio. Throughout her more than 35 years with Bechtel, Ailie has held a succession of senior executive leadership, operational, and general management positions. Before leading the Mining & Metals business, she served most recently as the global operations manager for Bechtel's Infrastructure business. Ailie has extensive expertise and experience managing complex transportation and civil infrastructure megaprojects in Australia, the U.K., and the U.S., in addition to oil, gas, and chemicals projects in Europe and Africa. Ailie holds a bachelor's degree in chemical engineering from Bradford University in the U.K. and is a fellow of the U.K. Institution of Civil Engineers. She is a STEM (science, technology, engineering, math) ambassador and a champion of diversity and inclusivity. In 2008, Ailie received the Institution of Civil Engineers' "inspirational leader" award recognizing women in the built environment, and in 2016, Ailie was named as one of the Top 50 Influential Women in Engineering by the Women's Engineering Society. In 2017, she was also recognized with an Outstanding Personal Contribution Award at the Rail Industry Association National Rail Awards. Ailie is a senior vice president and was elected to the Bechtel board of directors in 2022.

Brendan Bechtel is chairman and chief executive officer of Bechtel Group, Inc. Brendan became Bechtel's chief executive officer in 2016 and chairman in 2017. From 2014-2016, he served as the company's president and chief operating officer, responsible for management and oversight of Bechtel's global operations. Previously, Brendan served as president of the company's global energy business and, earlier, led Bechtel's Liquefied Natural Gas business line. He also held a series of leadership and operational roles on energy, infrastructure, and power projects in North America, Australia, and Africa, with responsibilities including safety, project controls, field engineering, contracts, construction supervision, and project management. The fifth generation of the Bechtel family to lead the company, Brendan started working for the company during summer breaks in high school. He graduated from Middlebury College with a bachelor's degree in geography and a minor in environmental studies. Brendan spent two years working for a conservation nonprofit before earning two master's degrees from Stanford University - an MBA and an MSE in construction engineering and management - before re-joining Bechtel. Brendan is a member of the boards of directors of the Business Roundtable and the Fremont Group, and is a trustee of the National Geographic Society and the Center for Strategic and International Studies. Brendan is based in the Washington, DC, area.

Catherine Hunt Ryan

Catherine Hunt Ryan is the president of Bechtel's Manufacturing & Technology business, with responsibility for the worldwide markets of design, construction, and project delivery for semiconductors, electric vehicles, synthetic materials, and data centers. Catherine has two decades of EPC industry experience in energy, infrastructure, and water sectors. At Bechtel, she has held key project development, project management, and executive leadership roles. Before leading the Manufacturing and Technology business, Catherine was the chief financial officer of Bechtel Group, Inc., responsible for leading the finance organization, which includes Bechtel Enterprises and the corporate planning, treasury, tax, and shared service functions. Catherine joined Bechtel in 2007, initially working in Bechtel Enterprises, the company's project development, investment, and financing services group. Catherine transitioned to Bechtel Energy in 2013 and was the project controls and commercial lead of the Sabine Pass Liquefaction project. She became the CFO of the Energy business in 2016 and became the CFO of Bechtel Group in 2018. Before joining Bechtel, Catherine worked at the World Bank's Infrastructure Economics and Finance unit with a focus on contract design and economic regulation for private investment in power and water utilities. Catherine earned a bachelor's degree in political science from Stanford University, and a master's degree in public policy from Harvard Kennedy School. She is on the board of the Bechtel Group as well as educational institutions including the Stanford Construction Institute and Beauvoir School.

Cliff is the general counsel of Bechtel Group, Inc. His responsibilities include oversight of the company's Legal, Ethics & Compliance, Internal Audit, and Risk Management functions. He is based in Reston, VA, Bechtel's corporate headquarters. Prior to his current role, Cliff served as deputy commercial manager for Bechtel, supporting commercial matters for each of Bechtel's global business units and other strategic initiatives. From 2020-22, he served as deputy general counsel for Bechtel, and his responsibilities included oversight of the managing counsels of the Mining & Metals; Nuclear, Security & Environment; and Energy global business units; Bechtel Enterprises; and the Corporate and Labor & Employment functions within the Legal Department. He was also responsible for oversight of corporate-wide risk management operations and strategic development. From 2017-20, in addition to serving as deputy general counsel, he was also the head of Risk Management for Bechtel. From 2010-2017, he held various roles in the Energy global business unit, including as its commercial manager and manager of Legal. Cliff earned his undergraduate degree in finance from Texas A&M University and his law degree from the University of Texas - School of Law. Prior to joining Bechtel in 2010, he was the executive vice president, general counsel and corporate secretary for Shaw Group, Inc. Prior to that, Cliff spent 16 years at international law firm Vinson & Elkins LLP, where he was a partner since 2000.

Craig Albert is president and chief operating officer of Bechtel Group, Inc. He is responsible for the management and oversight of Bechtel's global operations, is chairman of the operating committee, and serves on the company's board of directors. He is based in the company's corporate headquarters in Reston, Virginia. Craig has held a series of executive leadership, operational, and management positions throughout Bechtel over the course of his 26-year career with the company. Most recently, he served for four years as president of Bechtel's Infrastructure global business unit in London, with responsibility for a worldwide portfolio of power, communication, aviation, rail, and civil infrastructure projects. He also served previously as president of the Nuclear, Security & Environmental (NS&E) global business unit for five years, with responsibility for leading Bechtel's environmental, defense and national security business, as well as its commercial nuclear power operations. Craig joined Bechtel in 1998 from Westinghouse Electric Corporation. He went on to hold senior business development and project management roles on key energy, environmental, and national security projects in the U.S., Australia, U.K., the Middle East, and the former Soviet Union. Craig was elected principal vice president in 2001, became a senior vice president in 2009, and joined the board of directors in 2013. He holds a bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering from University of North Carolina at Charlotte and a master's degree in industrial engineering from University of Pittsburgh.

Darren Mort

Darren Mort is president of Bechtel's Infrastructure global business unit, with responsibility for a worldwide portfolio of, aviation, rail, power, communication, urban development, and civil infrastructure projects. As president of the infrastructure business, he is based in the unit's London headquarters. Darren was elected a Bechtel senior vice president in 2014. Darren has 25 years of experience in engineering, construction, contracts, business development, project management and general management across four continents. He has experience in multiple industries, including heavy civil, transportation, energy, oil and gas and mining. As global operations manager for the Infrastructure GBU from 2020 to 2023, Darren was responsible for ensuring the successful delivery of Infrastructure's projects worldwide. Darren has held a variety of leadership roles on many successful projects, including serving as the project manager on the Albanian and Kosovo motorway projects. From 2012, Darren led the successful delivery of the two-train USD 8 billion APLNG project, part of the historic Curtis Island LNG program in Queensland, Australia. The project received Employer of the Year award from the Queensland Government for its employee training and community development programs. Darren then became the General Manager for Bechtel's global LNG business for five years and led the delivery of eight major lump-sum EPC projects with a value of over USD 80 billion. Darren actively supports Bechtel's stewardship programs, has chaired the Stewardship Advisory Council and now leads bechtel.org, Bechtel's social enterprise with six active projects in developing countries. He also served on a British Red Cross relief team on the Asian Tsunami Recovery program, as well as a capacity-building volunteer in Uganda and Tanzania. Darren has a master's degree in civil engineering from the University of Manchester Institute of Science and Technology, a post graduate diploma from the University of Aberdeen and a certificate in construction law and arbitration from Robert Gordon University. He is a Fellow of the U.K. Institution of Civil Engineers.
